Fourth-ranked Gonzaga is regularly stomping opponents and aims to post its 12th straight win when it hosts San Diego in West Coast Conference play on Saturday. The Bulldogs have prevailed by an average of 35.6 points during their 11-game winning streak, including eight victories by 30 or more points.

Gonzaga reached 20 wins for the 22nd consecutive season with a 93-63 road romp over BYU on Thursday to move two games ahead of San Francisco in the WCC race. Despite the string of easy victories, Bulldogs coach Mark Few is worried about the Toreros, who are on pace to record back-to-back 20-win seasons for the first time in program history. "We've got a really tough turnaround," Few said in a television interview after the win over BYU. "We play a good San Diego team that I thought was going to be right at the top of the league once their healthy. ... That will be a real grinder and a real tough battle for us." San Diego is coming off home wins over Loyola Marymount and San Francisco but is just 3-5 on the road and has also lost 19 straight games at Gonzaga.

ABOUT SAN DIEGO (15-7, 4-3 WCC): The Toreros will likely be without senior shooting guard Olin Carter III (16.5 average) for the fifth straight game due to an abdominal injury while senior point guard Isaiah Wright (13.1 points, team-high 4.6 assists) is back in form after missing four games due to a wrist injury. Wright scored 17 points while playing all 40 minutes in last Saturday's 67-63 win over San Francisco as San Diego overcame an 11-point halftime deficit. Senior forward Isaiah Pineiro has team-leading averages of 19.5 points and 8.8 rebounds and he had 22 points and 13 rebounds against the Dons for his seventh double-double of the campaign.

ABOUT GONZAGA (20-2, 7-0): Junior power forward Brandon Clarke (16.6 points, team-best 7.8 rebounds) topped 20 points for the fifth time this season when he had 23 points and nine rebounds in the rout of BYU. "He has been an absolute joy to coach," Few said of Clarke, a transfer from San Jose State. "He just wants to get better. He brings his lunch pail and hard hat to practice every day. He has such a great shooting touch." Junior forward Rui Hachimura (team-best 19.9 points) had 20 points and nine rebounds versus the Cougars and has scored 20 or more on 13 occasions this season.
