No. 20 Iowa State aims to extend its winning streak to four games on Monday when it travels to Oklahoma to play a struggling Sooners team that has lost two straight and four of their last five Big 12 games. The Cyclones saw a 13-point first half lead evaporate Saturday against Texas, but used some clutch shooting late to hold on for a 65-60 victory.

Marial Shayok, the Big 12’s second-leading scorer (19.2 points per game), had his worst shooting performance of the season Saturday (3-for-14) but scored the last four points for the Cyclones including a jumper with 23 seconds left that made it a two-possession game. “(My teammates and coaches) told me to keep shooting it and not to worry about it,” Shayok told the media after netting 12 points Saturday. “It was just one of those days for me. Obviously, I was frustrated but I had to try to keep (calm) to win the game.” Oklahoma’s leading scorer, senior Christian James (16 points per game), struggled in two losses last week combining to go 3-for-19 from the floor, including a 1-for-10 showing in Saturday’s 79-71 setback at West Virginia. The Sooners lost their spot as the top rebounding team in the conference Saturday, as they were outrebounded 46-30 and gave up 18 offensive rebounds that led to 27 second-chance points for the Mountaineers.
