South Carolina Gamecocks vs Kentucky Wildcats Match Player Stats On Dec 05, 2020

Chris Rodriguez capped his three-touchdown night with a 79-yard scoring run and Kentucky beat short-handed South Carolina 41-18 on Saturday night in Lexington.

Rodriguez' late burst gave the Wildcats (4-6, 4-6 SEC) a pair of triple-digit rushers for the game. He finished with 139 yards, and Asim Rose rushed for 101 and a touchdown.

Terry Wilson passed for 201 yards and rushed for 46 to reach 1,001 yards on the ground for his career, and the trio of Wilcats overcome a spectacular performance by running back Kevin Harris for the Gamecocks (2-8, 2-8 SEC).

Harris became the first South Carolina running back with a 1,000-yard season since Mike Davis in 2013 by rushing for 210 yards, his fifth 100-yard rushing game of the season. He had a 25-yard touchdown run and a 59-yard non-scoring scamper in the third quarter.

Harris entered the game needing 72 yards to reach 1,000 yards for the season, and he took care of that with a 10-yard gain early in the second quarter that put him over the mark with 1,004.

He finished the game with 1,138 yards for the season.

Luke Doty was 11 of 25 passing for only 85 yards but had a 30-yard touchdown to Dakereon Joyner with 5:12 remaining.

The Gamecocks had only 16 players available on defense and 46 overall, according to the SEC Network, and the Wildcats took advantage by rushing for 291 yards of their 492-yard total.

Kentucky took a 27-3 lead at the break thanks to a 17-0 second. quarter. Rose scored on an 8-yard run and set up Rodriguez' first score with a 25-yard run to South Carolina's 1-yard line. Matt Ruffalo capped the scoring with a 41-yard field goal as time ran out in the half.
