Massimo Biscardi kicked a 40-yard field goal with four seconds remaining to give Coastal Carolina a 30-27 upset victory against No. 21 Louisiana in a Sun Belt Conference game Wednesday night in Lafayette, La.
Grayson McCall passed for two touchdowns and ran for a third as the Chanticleers (4-0) improved to 2-0 in the Sun Belt for the first time in their four seasons in the conference and matched their previous number of conference wins in each of those seasons.
McCall completed 17 of 24 passes for 202 yards.
CJ Marable caught one of McCall's touchdown passes and rushed for another score as Coast Carolina avenged a 48-7 home loss to Louisiana last season.
Levi Lewis connected on 14 of 24 passes for 173 yards and one touchdown and produced 84 yards and a touchdown on six carries for the Ragin' Cajuns (3-1, 2-1). Elijah Mitchell added two rushing touchdowns.
