Oklahoma Sooners vs Baylor Bears Match Player Stats On Nov 13, 2021

Gerry Bohanon ran for 107 yards and two touchdowns and threw for 117 yards and a score as No. 13 Baylor beat No. 8 Oklahoma 27-14 in Waco, Texas, on Saturday.

It was Baylor's first win over the Sooners since 2014 and kept Baylor alive in the Big 12 race.

It was Oklahoma's first loss of the season and the Sooners' first November loss since 2014. The loss likely ended the Sooners' quest for a fourth College Football Playoff in five years.

While the Bears offense put up big numbers -- especially on the ground -- it was Baylor's defense that controlled the game for the most part.

The Bears had five sacks and held Oklahoma to 260 total yards and just 78 yards on the ground while also forcing a pair of turnovers.

Baylor's defense kept Sooners quarterback Caleb Williams in check for most of the game, intercepting him twice and making it difficult for the freshman to get much going in the running game.

Williams looked like he'd settled in a bit in the second quarter when he took off for a 19-yard run, but as Williams was sliding while being tackled at the end of the play, Baylor safety JT Woods accidentally stepped on Williams' throwing hand.

Williams remained in the game, but by late in the third quarter, with the Sooners trailing 10-7, Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley replaced Williams with Spencer Rattler.

Rattler began the season as the Sooners' starter before being replaced by Williams against Texas.

Rattler was 4-for-6 passing for 36 yards on two drives before Williams returned with less than four minutes remaining.

But by the time Williams came back, Baylor led 24-7 and the game was all but over.

Baylor (8-2, 5-2 Big 12) took the lead early in the third quarter on Isaiah Hankins' 32-yard field goal, then stretched the lead early in the fourth on Bohanon's 5-yard touchdown run that was set up by Abram Smith's 75-yard run.

Smith ran for 148 yards.

Williams was 10 of 19 for 146 yards and no touchdowns for the Sooners (9-1, 6-1).

Baylor called a timeout in the final seconds. Bears fans, thinking the game was over, stormed the field. It took several minutes for the field to be cleared, though by that time many of the Sooners had walked off the field.

The Bears wound up kicking a field goal to end the game as fans streamed back onto the field.
