Reynolds completed 10-of-13 attempts, including touchdown passes of 63 yards to DeBrandon Sanders in the second quarter and 29 yards to Shawn Lynch in the third. Navy (2-0) rolled up 589 yards in total offense, including 352 on the ground.
Trent Hurley completed 17-of-25 passes for 152 yards, including a 17-yard, second-quarter touchdown pass to Ryan Cobb for Delaware (2-1). Andrew Pierce rushed for 83 yards.
Navy, which rushed for 444 yards in a season-opening win at Indiana, scored on its first four possessions while building a 23-0 lead. Geoffrey Whiteside rushed for two touchdowns and Darius Staten, Chris Swain and John Hendrick each ran for one TD as the Midshipmen also received a 24-yard field goal from Nick Sloan in the first quarter.
The 233 yards passing by Reynolds were the most by a Navy quarterback since Brian Broadwater threw for 302 against Tulane in 2000. The 51 points were the most for the Midshipmen in a home opener since 1975 when they scored a 55-7 victory over Delaware.
