Western Kentucky 31, Louisiana-Monroe 10: Brandon Doughty threw for a career-high 370 yards and Antonio Andrews rushed for 155 as the visiting Hilltoppers pulled away in the Sun Belt contest.
Leon Allen ran for a score and caught one of two first-quarter touchdown passes from Doughty, who completed 24-of-36 attempts. Andrews also scored his ninth touchdown and pushed his season total to 882 yards rushing for the Hilltoppers (4-2, 1-1 Sun Belt), who won their third straight.
Brayle Brown, who replaced injured starter Kolton Browning (torn quadriceps), completed 21-of-40 passes for 275 yards for Louisiana-Monroe. Jyruss Edwards rushed for 57 yards and the only touchdown for the Warhawks (2-4, 0-1), who have dropped three straight since beating Wake Forest.
The Hilltoppers scored on their first two drives as Doughty connected with Willie McNeal for a 33-yard TD and Allen for a 17-yard score. Louisiana-Monroe trimmed the deficit to 14-10 at halftime, including a stop on Andrews at the 1-yard line on the final play of the second quarter.
Western Kentucky extended the lead on its first possession of the second half as Andrews capped an 80-yard drive by rumbling six yards for a score. The Hilltoppers put away the game with an 89-yard drive as Allen ran into the corner of the end zone from five yards out on the 14th play with 10:17 left.
