Louisiana-Lafayette 49, New Mexico State 35: Alonzo Harris rushed for 106 yards and a career-best five touchdowns and Elijah McGuire broke a 51-yard scoring run as the Ragin' Cajuns rallied past the visiting Aggies.
Terrance Broadway was 14-of-20 for 231 yards and a touchdown and Harris scored four times in the second half for Lafayette (6-2), which came back from a 21-point deficit to notch its sixth straight win.
Andrew McDonald passed for 327 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for another score for New Mexico State (1-8). Austin Franklin was on the receiving end of 13 of McDonald's completions, totaling 140 yards and two touchdowns.
The Aggies scored touchdowns on their first four possessions to build a 28-7 lead, but went three-and-out on three straight drives as the Ragin' Cajuns mounted a comeback. Harris capped a 58-yard drive with a 5-yard TD run to give Lafayette its first lead, and Broadway hit Jamal Robinson for the two-point conversion to make it 35-28.
Darius Barksdale picked off McDonald's pass on the ensuing possession and returned it to the 3, setting up Harris' fourth touchdown one play later. McDonald's third touchdown pass pulled the Aggies within 42-35, but Harris broke a 30-yard TD run to seal it.
