Louisiana-Lafayette 41, Troy 36: Terrance Broadway passed for 185 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 63 yards and two more scores as the host Ragin' Cajuns remained unbeaten in Sun Belt play.
Elijah McGuire rushed for 82 yards and a touchdown and added a 60-yard touchdown reception for Louisiana-Lafayette (7-2, 4-0), which has won seven straight. Effrem Reed also had a touchdown catch and Darryl Surgent returned a punt for a score for the Ragin' Cajuns.
Corey Robinson passed for 271 yards and a touchdown and Brandon Burks rushed for 126 yards on 15 carries for Troy (5-5, 3-3). Ten players had receptions for the Trojans, with Eric Thomas leading the way with five catches for 93 yards and a score.
The Ragin' Cajuns raced to a 21-6 lead after one quarter as McGuire ripped off a 38-yard touchdown run and hauled in the long TD pass from Broadway and Surgent returned a punt 67 yards. The Trojans pulled within 28-26 when Camren Hudson picked off Broadway and went 65 yards for a score, but Broadway bounced back to lead two long touchdown drives and regain control.
