No. 5 TCU 48, Texas 10: Trevone Boykin threw for 233 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for another as the visiting Horned Frogs dropped Texas for their sixth straight win.
Josh Doctson had seven catches for 115 yards and a score to lead TCU (10-1, 7-1 Big 12), which took advantage of six Texas turnovers and several short fields. Aaron Green rushed for 73 yards and a late 5-yard TD and Boykin had 50 yards on the ground.
Tyrone Swoopes threw for 200 yards and a touchdown but had four interceptions and a fumble for Texas (6-6, 5-4). Swoopes led the Longhorns with 61 rushing yards and Armanti Foreman had four catches for 91 yards and the score.
TCU turned two short fields into field goals and Terrell Lathan returned Swoopes' fumble 40 yards for a 13-0 lead with 20 seconds left in the first quarter. Boykin's 4-yard strike to David Porter pushed the lead to 20-3 at halftime before the teams traded turnovers in a scoreless third quarter.
Doctson grabbed a jump ball in front of a Texas defender for a 22-yard score with 14:54 left for a 27-3 lead but the Longhorns answered two plays later when Foreman took a swing pass 73 yards up the sideline. TCU added three scores a five-minute span on Boykin's 10-yard run after a fumbled Texas punt, Green's score and lineman Josh Carraway's 33-yard interception return with 2:19 left.
GAME NOTEBOOK: TCU has at least one interception and one sack in 13 straight games, recording both in the first quarter Thursday. ... Texas WR Jaxon Shipley (hamstring) and TCU RB B.J. Catalon missed the game with injuries. ... Texas WR John Harris, who had five catches for 39 yards, became the sixth Longhorn to record a 1,000-yard season.
