Quarterback Sean White passed for two touchdowns and ran for another and Kerryon Johnson rushed for 146 yards and two scores in Auburn's 58-7 rout of Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
John Franklin III threw a touchdown pass and scored on an 80-yard catch-and-run as the Tigers (3-2) backed up last week's dramatic win over LSU with a convincing performance against the struggling Warhawks (1-3).
Auburn stormed out to a 28-0 lead. White accounted for two touchdowns in the first quarter, including a 48-yard scoring strike to freshman receiver Kyle Davis. Johnson added a pair of short touchdown runs in the second quarter.
Louisiana-Monroe scored on the last play of the second half, with quarterback Garrett Smith hooking up with receiver Marcus Green for a short touchdown to cut the deficit to 28-7 at halftime.
Auburn opened second half with three straight touchdown drives to put the game away and head to Mississippi State with momentum.
The Tigers outgained Louisiana-Monroe 688-251. Coach Gus Malzahn's team rushed for 410 yards and enjoyed a 36-16 edge in first downs.
White finished an efficient 14 of 17 for 239 yards and two touchdowns.
