I don't know if Wazzu is getting enough respect for it's 3-0 start. The last two wins have come as outright underdogs, including beating rival Washington as 6-point pups in the Apple Cup. Washington State QB John Mateer is a problem. He has already thrown for over 700 yards and seven TDs while adding another 300+ and four scores on the ground, and I don't know if San Jose State can handle Mateer and this WSU offense. The Spartans are 3-0 but have played one of the easiest schedules in the country with matchups against FCS Sacramento State, Air Force and Kennesaw State. The Cougs, who run the ball nearly 60% of the time, will gorund and pound SJSU into submission into a win and cover on Friday night.
