The TCU defense hasn’t allowed a touchdown by any of its first three Mountain West opponents. Just as impressive, the fourth-ranked Frogs have won 18 consecutive games at home.

Air Force has a daunting task Saturday night, when the Falcons take on the Frogs at Amon G. Carter Stadium.

TCU, off to a 7-0 start for the second consecutive year, has found its stride over the past month. The Frogs opened conference play with a 27-0 victory over Colorado State and then followed it up with a 45-0 victory over Wyoming. Last week, TCU rolled to a 31-3 victory against BYU.

In all, TCU has outscored its conference opponents 103-3 and has allowed less than 200 yards of total offense in every game.

Against BYU, the Frogs’ defense was led by sophomore linebacker Tanner Brock, who had a career-high 11 tackles. Senior safety Tejay Johnson and junior linebacker Tank Carder both had interceptions. And defensive linemen Cory Grant, Stansly Maponga and D.J. Yendrey all recorded sacks.

Senior quarterback Andy Dalton, who was named the Mountain West offensive player of the week for the second time this season, led TCU offensively. Dalton tied a career-high with four touchdown passes and finished with a season-high 273 passing yards.

Frogs freshman wide receiver Josh Boyce had a career-high eight receptions for 127 yards, including touchdown catches of 35 and 20 yards.

And TCU, once again, got a lift on special teams from senior Jeremy Kerley, who totaled 137 return yards. The Frogs had an average starting field position of their own 43-yard line.

Air Force, meanwhile, will be looking to bounce back after a 27-25 loss at San Diego State.

The Falcons did have some bright spots in the game, though.

Air Force junior quarterback Tim Jefferson completed 13 of 30 passes, including five to junior wide receiver Jonathan Warzeka. The five catches were a career high for Warzeka.

Junior running back Asher Clark had his second straight 100-yard rushing game, finishing with 116 yards on 19 carries. Clark has played a key role this season, too, as senior running back Jared Tew suffered a broken fibula in week seven and will be out at least six weeks.

Defensively the Falcons were led by senior linebacker Patrick Hennessey, who had a team-high nine tackles.

This will be the 10th meeting in series history between Air Force and TCU. The Frogs lead the series 7-2-1, including winning the past two contests and all four home games.
