THE STORY: Boise State finally plays at home and looks to extend its 62-game regular-season home winning streak against Tulsa. The No. 4 Broncos opened the season with victories against Georgia and Toledo and make their first appearance on their famed blue turf against a Golden Hurricane squad that will be without standout quarterback G.J. Kinne. Tulsa has experienced an arduous September with this contest being its third against a Top 10 program. The Golden Hurricane opened the season with a loss against Oklahoma and lost to Oklahoma State on Sunday morning in a game delayed 3 hours, 16 minutes because of lightning.

ABOUT BOISE STATE (2-0): Quarterback Kellen Moore is 40-2 as a starter and five wins away from matching the career victories record held by former Texas star Colt McCoy. He has been spectacular this season with 716 yards and eight touchdowns while completing 78.9 percent of his passes. Moore threw for 455 yards and five TDs against Toledo on Sept. 16 and will face a Tulsa defense allowing 320.7 passing yards per game. Tyler Shoemaker caught three touchdown receptions against Toledo and has four in two games. Defensive linemen Shea McClellin and Tyrone Crawford each have 2.5 sacks.
ABOUT TULSA (1-2): The Golden Hurricane gave up a combined 106 points in the losses to Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. Kinne suffered a knee injury against the Cowboys, and that boosts redshirt freshman Kalen Henderson into a starting role. Henderson was intercepted three times by Oklahoma State. Tulsa is also without NCAA career all-purpose yardage leader Damaris Johnson, who was arrested on felony embezzlement charges prior to the season. Ja’Terian Douglas (career-best 173 yards) and Trey Watts (159) both topped 100 rushing yards against Oklahoma State to be the first pair of Golden Hurricane backs to do so in the same game since 2006.
EXTRA POINTS
1. The Broncos are 5-0 against the Golden Hurricane, including 28-21 in the most-recent meeting in 2009 in Tulsa.
2. Tulsa’s game against Oklahoma State ended at 3:15 a.m. CT.
3. Boise State’s last regular-season home loss was to Washington State 41-20 in 2001.
PREDICTION: Boise State 51, Tulsa 16 - Moore should have another outstanding game against a Tulsa defense that has been shredded by the previous Top 10 teams it faced this season.
