Oklahoma State @ Tulsa preview
Skelly Field at H.A. Chapman Stadium
Last Meeting ( Sep 18, 2010 ) Tulsa 28, Oklahoma State 65
THE STORY: A Big 12 heavyweight clash lies just around the corner for No. 7 Oklahoma State, but first it must take care of business - as it has for years - against instate rival Tulsa. The high-scoring Cowboys look to continue their dominance of the Golden Hurricane in their final contest before the conference opener against No. 9 Texas A&M. This is the first trip to Tulsa in 11 years for Oklahoma State. The Cowboys have won five straight road games – the third-longest streak in the nation. Oklahoma State has won four straight and 17 of the last 23 meetings. Tulsa has won four of its last 10 against Top 25 teams since ending a 10-game skid to ranked opponents.

ABOUT OKLAHOMA STATE (2-0): Former offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen departed for West Virginia in the off-season, but there is no slowing the Cowboys. Oklahoma State has scored 98 points and racked up an FBS-leading 1,260 total yards. Brandon Weeden set a school record for completions (42) and pass attempts (53) against Arizona last week. Biletnikoff winner Justin Blackmon caught 12 passes for 128 yards and his first two touchdowns. Sophomore running back Joseph Randle (250 yards, four TDs) has filled in seamlessly for the departed Kendall Hunter.
ABOUT TULSA (1-1): Reigning Conference USA Player of the Year G.J. Kinne threw for 241 yards and three touchdowns in last week’s 31-3 victory over Tulane. Wide receiver Bryan Burnham (seven catches, 94 yards, two TDs) had a career game in place of All-American wide receiver Damaris Johnson, who was suspended indefinitely by first-year coach Bill Blankenship prior to the season opener. Johnson is the NCAA’s return and all-purpose yardage leader.
