THE STORY: Miami attempts to rebound from a disappointing loss for the second time this season when it hosts Bethune-Cookman of the FCS. The Hurricanes suffered a letdown after their big win over Ohio State, getting stopped at the goal line in the final minute of a 28-24 home loss at Kansas State last weekend.

TV: ESPNU. LINE: None.

ABOUT BETHUNE-COOKMAN (2-1): The Wildcats boast a potent offensive attack that ranks fifth among FCS teams in scoring (38.67 points) and 16th in total offense (437 yards). Starting QB Jamarr Robinson (553 yards passing, 4 TD, 5 INT) was pulled at halftime last week in favor of Jackie Wilson, who threw two second-half touchdown passes to engineer a 35-31 victory over Hampton.

ABOUT MIAMI (1-2): The Hurricanes appeared to have pulled out a thrilling comeback victory last Saturday on a fourth-down QB sneak, but Jacory Harris was ruled down at the 1-yard line, continuing Miami's tumultuous season both on and off the field. RB Lamar Miller has been a bright spot, ranking fifth nationally in rushing with 136.3 yards per game. But Miami is tied for 110th in turnover margin (-1.3 per game).

EXTRA POINTS

1. The goal-line stand against Kansas State marked the first time Miami failed to score in nine trips inside the red zone this season (6 TDs, 2 FGs).

2. The Hurricanes will be playing their first-ever game against a program nicknamed the Wildcats.

3. Miami is 8-1 all-time against MEAC opponents, with all nine previous games against Florida A&M.

PREDICTION:
Miami 45, Bethune-Cookman 14 -- The Wildcats have enough firepower to keep it interesting for a quarter or two, but the Hurricanes should be angry enough after last week's loss to dominate eventually.
