Arizona @ Arizona State preview
Sun Devil Stadium
Last Meeting ( Nov 28, 2014 ) Arizona State 35, Arizona 42
Arizona and Arizona State have won the last two Pac-12 South Division titles, but will be playing mostly for bragging rights Saturday afternoon in Tempe. The Territorial Cup will represent the regular-season finale for the Wildcats, who have clinched their fourth consecutive bowl bid, and the Sun Devils can secure a fifth-straight bowl-game opportunity by winning one of their final two games.
Both teams will be trying to build off good wins last weekend, as Arizona pulled off a double-overtime victory against then-No. 13 Utah and the Sun Devils delivered a strong comeback in their win against Washington. Arizona State definitely has the healthier offense as Arizona quarterback Anu Solomon is questionable after suffering a concussion against Utah and running back Nick Wilson was limited last week after missing three of the previous four games with a knee injury. Arizona State quarterback Mike Bercovici has thrown 20 touchdown passes this season, but half of those have come in two games. Devin Lucien and D.J. Foster continue to provide nice options for Bercovici through the air, although Foster, who was converted from running back to wide receiver after scoring 12 touchdowns last season, hasn't crossed the goal line in the last four games.

ABOUT ARIZONA (6-5, 3-5 Pac-12): Wilson contributed 27 yards on six carries last weekend and the 1,300-yard rusher last season should see his workload increase against the Sun Devils, though Jared Baker has done a nice job carrying the load and should still earn his share of carries. Cayleb Jones has been hot and cold for Arizona at the wide receiver position, but is coming off a five-catch, 126-yard effort against Utah. He is one of four receivers for the Wildcats with at least four touchdown receptions this season. Nate Phillips caught his fourth last week in double overtime, helping the Wildcats end a three-game losing streak.
ABOUT ARIZONA STATE (5-5, 3-4): Demario Richard was held to 45 rushing yards last weekend, his second lowest total of the season. That could lead to more touches this week for Kalen Ballage, who has combined for 303 rushing yards the last three games on just 37 carries. Lucien and Foster likely will continue to get the majority of targets from Bercovici, though third-leading receiver Tim White has as many touchdown receptions (six) as Lucien and Foster combined. Injuries have taken a toll on the defensive side of the ball for the Sun Devils, as safety Jordan Simone suffered a season-ending knee injury last week and Kareem Orr, who shares the Pac-12 lead with four interceptions, missed the game with an undisclosed injury.
EXTRA POINTS
1. The Detroit Lions hired Arizona State offensive analyst Ryan Silverfield earlier in the week to help coach their offensive line. Silverfield was in his first season with the Sun Devils.
2. Arizona leads the series 48-39-1.
3. Arizona State K Zane Gonzalez has missed two of his 12 field goal attempts inside the 30-yard line this season after making 21-of-22 in that range the previous two seasons.
PREDICTION: Arizona State 31, Arizona 28
