Minnesota looks to start 2-0 for the first time since 2009 when the Golden Gophers host New Hampshire in their home opener at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Coming off a triple overtime win at UNLV last week, the Gophers cannot sleep on the visiting Wildcats, who aim to be the third straight FCS team to beat Minnesota following South Dakota in 2010 and North Dakota State last year.

ABOUT NEW HAMPSHIRE (1-0, 0-0 CAA): The Wildcats, ranked 12th in the FCS coaches poll, were picked to finish fourth in the Colonial Athletic Association. UNH opened the season with a 38-17 win at Holy Cross last week. Redshirt freshman QB Sean Goldrich was named CAA Newcomer of the Week after completing 21 of 31 passes for 193 yards and two TDs while also rushing for 71 yards. Goldrich became the first redshirt freshman to start at QB in school history.

ABOUT MINNESOTA (1-0, 0-0 Big Ten):
Quarterback MarQueis Gray accounted for 337 total yards (269 passing, 68 rushing) in the 30-27 win at UNLV. It was the second highest total in Gray's career. He also passed for a pair of TDs. The Gophers compiled 478 yards of offense at UNLV while allowing only 275. Derrick Wells paced the defense with two interceptions, one in the fourth quarter and the other in the third overtime. The Gophers had three INTs in the opener after picking off just four passes all of last season.

1. The Gophers are just 8-13 at TCF Bank Stadium since it opened four years ago.

2. Minnesota has opened its season with an overtime game in three of the last six seasons, winning two of those. The Gophers' eight overtime games since 2005 are the second most among FBS schools.

3. New Hampshire has made eight straight FCS playoff appearances, the longest current streak in the nation. The Wildcats have also been ranked in the FCS Top 25 for 114 consecutive weeks, the second longest streak in the nation behind Montana.
