Florida State aims to cruise to a 3-0 start when Bethune-Cookman visits on Saturday. The Wildcats of the FCS will arrive in Tallahassee with the momentum of their first ever win over an FBS opponent following a 34-13 defeat of Florida International, but will be hard-pressed to knock off the eight-ranked Seminoles, who have rumbled over Pittsburgh and Nevada in their first two games. Quarterback Jameis Winston has shined, throwing more touchdowns (six) than incomplete passes (five) in his first two starts while completing 40-of-45 attempts.

Running back Anthony Jordan's career-high 150 rushing yards paced a 311-yard rushing attack for Bethune-Cookman in the win over the Panthers, earning the junior Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors. In Florida State, however, the Wildcats will face a defense that has limited opponents to an average of 112 yards on the ground through two games and ranks eighth among FBS teams in total defense. In 43 games under head coach Jimbo Fisher, the Seminoles have held opponents to less than 100 yards rushing 26 times.

TV: 6 p.m. ET, ESPN3. LINE: None.

ABOUT BETHUNE-COOKMAN (3-0): The Wildcats have wins in three straight games to start a season for the first time since 2010 and have won 10 of their past 11 contests. Bethune-Cookman's defense has been stout, holding opponents to less than 10 points per game and has also managed three defensive touchdowns. Senior linebacker Jarkevis Fields leads the team with 23 tackles and had a game-high six in the win over Florida International.

ABOUT FLORIDA STATE (2-0, 1-0 ACC): The Seminoles have been firing on all cylinders on offense, passing the century mark in points through their first two games for the second consecutive season, with nine different players scoring touchdowns. Against Nevada, Florida State compiled 617 yards and 59 unanswered points, coasting to a 62-7 victory. Junior Nick O'Leary has hauled in three touchdown catches, trailing only Indiana's Ted Bolser among FBS tight ends.
