Georgia has had some extra time to think about its humbling 35-7 loss at South Carolina on Oct. 6, which knocked it out of the top 5. The 12th-ranked Bulldogs will try to begin another streak, after a bye week, with a game at struggling Kentucky on Saturday. Georgia, which plays unbeaten Florida on Oct. 27, should be able to get its offense going again after a rough outing against the Gamecocks. Quarterback Aaron Murray, who had completed at least 73 percent of his passes the previous three games, should rebound after a puzzling 11-for-31 effort. Injury-ravaged Kentucky returns for Homecoming Day, following a weather-shortened 49-7 loss at Arkansas, to try to snap a five-game losing streak. The Wildcats have used four quarterbacks and stand 113th in the nation in total offense, but they are facing a Georgia defense which allows 24.2 points per game.

ABOUT GEORGIA (5-1, 3-1 SEC): The Bulldogs were held to 224 total yards at South Carolina, less than half their current average. The freshman duo of Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall, who have combined for 1,040 yards rushing and 14 touchdowns, expect to pick it up after being slowed by the Gamecocks. Murray, who saw his 13-game streak with at least one touchdown pass end, must get more from senior Tavarres King with leading receiver Michael Bennett (ACL) lost for the season. King is 25 receiving yards from 2,000 for his career. Highly-regarded outside linebacker Jarvis Jones, with 9.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks, is questionable with an ankle injury.

ABOUT KENTUCKY (1-6, 0-4): The Wildcats, who are facing their fifth ranked team, are expected to start freshman Jalen Whitlow at quarterback for the third straight game as fellow freshman Patrick Towles recovers from a high ankle sprain. Whitlow will be looking for senior receiver La’Rod King, who has 1,569 receiving yards in his career – 92 short of Randall Cobb for sixth on the school’s all-time list. Linebacker Avery Williamson is the third in the SEC in tackles with 9.7 per game.

1. Murray has 71 career touchdown passes, one short of David Greene for the top spot on the school’s all-time list.

2. Kentucky has not converted a fourth-down attempt in 10 chances.
