Sebastian Aho's high-powered offense sure has traveled well, as the 22-year-old Finn carries a five-game goal-scoring streak into the finale of the Carolina Hurricanes' four-game trek against the Dallas Stars on Tuesday. Aho has scored six of his career high-tying 30 goals during his sizzling stretch for the Hurricanes.

Aho set up Teuvo Teravainen's goal in the first period to extend his point streak to six games (six goals, four assists) on Saturday before his tally ignited a four-goal third in Carolina's 6-5 shootout victory versus Vegas. "There's no quit in our team," Aho said of a resilient Hurricanes club that has won five of its last seven games. "... And when we got the one, you could feel it on the bench we would get a second one and another one, and that's a good feeling to have." Dallas has been feeling good during a 3-1-1 run over its last five games, with Roope Hintz completing a two-goal performance in overtime of a 3-2 victory over St. Louis on Saturday. Hintz and the Stars didn't have much reason to smile in last season's encounters with the Hurricanes, as Carolina skated away with a pair of 3-0 victories.

ABOUT THE HURRICANES (32-20-3): Teravainen has done pretty well for himself in the same six-game stretch as his countryman Aho, lifting his club-best totals in assists (42) and points (54) with six and nine, respectively. Fellow forward Andrei Svechnikov sports a four-game point streak (three goals, three assists) after setting up Teravainen's goal against the Golden Knights, and that's not counting his success later in the shootout. Speaking of shootouts, "Mr. Game 7" Justin Williams has embraced the extra session since his return to action -- with the 38-year-old recording three game-winning goals in the shootout in 2020 after failing to secure one since November 2011.

ABOUT THE STARS (31-19-5): Although Tyler Seguin is mired in a 16-game goal drought, Dallas coach Rick Bowness said the five-time 30-goal scorer is contributing in other capacities that have helped the team ascend into third place in the Central Division. "We're in a pretty good spot in the standings and Seggy's been a big part of getting that team there. ... He's doing a lot of things that maybe you're not noticing," Bowness said of the 28-year-old Seguin, who leads the team in assists (29) and points (40). Fellow forward Joe Pavelski, who missed Monday's practice with a maintenance day, is riding a five-game point streak (four goals, two assists).

OVERTIME

1. Dallas G Ben Bishop sports an 8-3-1 record with two shutouts, a 2.16 goals-against average and .933 save percentage in 12 career starts versus Carolina.

2. Hurricanes G Petr Mrazek, who owns a 4-7-2 record with a 3.24 GAA and .888 SP, turned aside all 33 shots he faced in a shutout against the Stars on Feb. 16, 2019.

3. Dallas RW Alexander Radulov has scored 10 of his 15 goals at home this season.
