The Nashville Predators, who are tied for the top spot in the Western Conference, look to put an end to their road woes when they visit the last-place Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday. The Predators started the season with eight straight wins away from home but have gone 0-5-2 on the road since, including Monday's 4-3 overtime loss in Ottawa.

Leading scorer Ryan Johansen set up all three goals as the Predators rallied from a 3-0 first-period deficit, but Senators defenseman Thomas Chabot scored 21 seconds into the extra session to end their three-game winning streak. Nashville is 7-1-1 in its last nine meetings with the Blackhawks after posting a 5-2 triumph on Dec. 1 and won’t have to face two-time Stanley Cup-winning goaltender Corey Crawford on Tuesday. Crawford (6-14-2, .902 save percentage), who missed most of last season and the first five games of 2018-19 while recovering from a concussion, suffered a head injury in Sunday’s 7-4 loss to San Jose - prompting Chicago to recall netminder Collin Delia from Rockford of the American Hockey League. “Great goaltender, great guy, important part of the team,” Chicago coach Jeremy Colliton told reporters of Crawford. “We’ll see. We hope for a quick recovery.”

ABOUT THE PREDATORS (22-10-2): Pekka Rinne, who entered the week leading the league in goals-against average and save percentage, was pulled on Monday after allowing three goals on 11 shots. Defenseman Roman Josi, who recorded two goals and an assist in the overtime loss, is second on the team with 26 points while Craig Smith scored for the third time in five games to become the second Predator to reach double digits in tallies - joining the injured Filip Forsberg. Nashville scored twice on the power play after going 0-for-9 over its previous five games.

ABOUT THE BLACKHAWKS (10-19-6): Chicago has given up 53 goals while dropping 10 of its last 11 games (1-9-1), but the team has shown it still can score as it has tallied 15 times in its last four contests. Patrick Kane has recorded eight of his team-leading 38 points in the last seven games, captain Jonathan Toews has scored three times in as many contests and Alex DeBrincat has tallied in three of his last four. Dylan Strome has registered five goals in 11 games since being acquired from Arizona, with whom he scored three in 20 contests.

OVERTIME

1. Blackhawks LW Brendan Perlini, who was obtained along with Strome last month, scored his first goal in 10 games with the club on Sunday.

2. Nashville D P.K. Subban, who has been sidelined with an upper-body injury since Nov. 13, participated in Monday's morning skate and could return before the end of the team's four-game road trip.

3. Chicago D Brent Seabrook has notched four points in his last five games and needs one goal to reach 100 for his career.
