Last Meeting ( Nov 13, 2018 ) Florida 2, Philadelphia 1
The coaching change has agreed with the Philadelphia Flyers thus far, as they have earned points in four of their five games (3-1-1) since replacing Dave Hakstol with Scott Gordon on an interim basis. Philadelphia hopes to continue ascending when it resumes its five-game road trip Saturday against the Florida Panthers.
The Flyers, whose lone regulation loss under Gordon was a one-goal decision against Columbus on Dec. 22, showed resilience at Tampa Bay on Thursday as they scored three times in the third period to forge a tie before falling 6-5 in overtime. Captain Claude Giroux recorded a goal and an assist in the setback, giving him points in 13 of his last 17 contests (six goals, 16 assists). Florida had won four of five contests before dropping a 5-3 home decision to Montreal on Friday. Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov has registered four goals and five assists over his last six games after setting up a tally in the defeat.

ABOUT THE FLYERS (15-16-5): Philadelphia will be without Nolan Patrick for up to five days, according to Gordon, due to an upper-body injury the 20-year-old center suffered against the Lightning. The second overall pick in the 2017 draft, Patrick has recorded only five goals and six assists in 33 games this season after registering 13 and 17, respectively, as a rookie in 2017-18. Michael Raffl appears to be heating up as he has scored in back-to-back games after going without a goal in his first 20 contests this season.
ABOUT THE PANTHERS (15-15-6): Keith Yandle, who tallied in Friday's loss, has recorded a career high-tying five of his six goals this season on the power play. The 32-year-old defenseman netted five of his 20 tallies over the previous four campaigns with the man advantage. Jonathan Huberdeau, who leads the team with 42 points, has been kept off the scoresheet in back-to-back games after registering 12 multi-point performances in his previous 16 contests.
OVERTIME
1. Flyers C Sean Couturier and RW Jakub Voracek both have recorded a goal and three assists during their four-game point streaks.

3. Philadelphia rookie G Carter Hart will make his fourth career start - and first since suffering his first loss on Dec. 22 against Columbus - on Saturday.
PREDICTION: Flyers 4, Panthers 3
