The Boston Bruins got off to a strong start on their five-game road trip and look to post their fifth straight overall victory when they visit the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday. Boston extended its point streak to nine games (6-0-3) with Friday's 3-0 triumph in Anaheim, which pulled it within one point of Toronto for second place in the Atlantic Division.
Jake DeBrusk scored in his second consecutive game for the Bruins, who recorded a 5-4 overtime victory over Los Angeles at home last Saturday. Patrice Bergeron had his five-game point streak halted by the Ducks but registered a goal and two assists in the win over the Kings. Los Angeles is winless in its last three contests (0-1-2), a slide that began in Boston. The Kings, who reside in the Western Conference basement, squandered a late lead against Vancouver on Thursday and suffered a 4-3 shootout loss in the opener of their three-game homestand.

ABOUT THE BRUINS (33-17-8): Torey Krug has collected six assists during his five-game streak after setting up a goal Friday. The 27-year-old defenseman has notched an assist in eight of his last nine contests and is four away from posting his fourth consecutive 40-assist season. Noel Acciari scored in the win over Anaheim, ending his 16-game drought.
ABOUT THE KINGS (23-28-6): Defenseman Alec Martinez recorded a goal and an assist Thursday, giving him four points during his three-game streak. Kyle Clifford has registered five assists over his last four contests after posting two in back-to-back games. Rookie Austin Wagner has scored half of his eight goals on the season over his last four contests.
