Aldana vs Kunitskaya betting preview

Irene "Robles" Aldana is the No. 4 ranked women's bantamweight contender and is looking to bounce back from a unanimous decision loss to Holly Holm last October. Despite that defeat, Aldanada is 5-2 in her last seven fights with her only other loss during that span coming by way of a split decision to Racquel Pennington.

Robles has some of the best technical boxing in the division with good head movement, crisp hands, and high output.

Yana "Foxy" Kunitskaya is one spot below Aldana in the women's bantamweight rankings and is coming off consecutive unanimous decision wins over Ketlen Vieira and Julija Stoliarenko. The 31-year-old is the former 135-pound champ in Invicta and entered the UFC with an immediate title challenge of Chris Cyborg in 2018.

Kunitskaya was promptly knocked out by Cyborg in the first round but has since gone 4-1 in the promotion. Foxy is a well-rounded fighter that can get it done wherever the fight goes.

Aldana vs Kunitskaya UFC prediction and betting pick

PREDICTION: - Kunitskaya (-102) - Aldana has polished boxing ability but she can turn into a brawler in close and has a tendency to become hittable, absorbing 6.26 significant strikes per minute. Kunitskaya is the better all-around fighter and can wear down Aldana with her wrestling and grappling ability.

While on the surface, Aldana has a terrific takedown defense of 93 percent, she has rarely been tested in that department and was taken down five times in her previous loss against Holm.

Kunitskaya has the better significant strike differential, landing 4.22 while absorbing 2.62, and she lands at a much higher rate as well. She should be able to outpoint Aldana in the striking exchanges while wearing her down with her wrestling.
