UFL Championship odds analysis
6/25/24: The Birmingham Stallions hardly had an anxious moment all year, losing just one game after already clinching their division. They coasted over the San Antonio Brahmas in the UFL title game, 25-0, as -175 moneyline favorites.
Previous UFL betting action
6/12/24: The Birmingham Stallions squeaked by the Michigan Panthers 20-19 to wrap up their regular season with a UFL-best 9-1 record, and they beat those same Panthers 31-18 in the rematch in the USFL Conference Championship Game. The San Antonio Brahmas continue to defy expectations as they upset the St. Louis Battlehawks in the XFL Conference Championship Game, 25-15. They started this season at the bottom of the odds board. Can they pull off one more shocker? 6/5/24: The Birmingham Stallions eked out a 20-19 win over the Michigan Panthers to wrap up their regular season with a UFL-best 9-1 record. They'll host the Panthers in a rematch on Saturday to determine the USFL Conference Championship. The St. Louis Battlehawks also won by the narrowest of margins in Week 10, toppling the San Antonio Brahmas 13-12 to secure home-field advantage for their rematch in the XFL Conference Championship. 5/29/24: The San Antonio Brahmas boosted their stock with a win over the Birmingham Stallions in Week 9, while the St. Louis Battlehawks lost to the Arlington Renegades to give sole possession of first place in the XFL Conference to the Brahmas. The Battlehawks host the Brahmas in a key Week 10 clash to determine home-field advantage for their eventual postseason showdown. 5/22/24: The DC Defenders were eliminated from playoff contention by the St. Louis Battlehawks in Week 8, so we're down to four teams left standing and only playoff seeding to decide in Weeks 9 and 10 of the inaugural UFL season. As they've been all year, the Birmingham Stallions are considerable favorites following their latest victory, a 35-28 triumph over the Houston Roughnecks. 5/17/24: Week 7 of the UFL season saw the wheat get separated from the chaff with three teams falling out of championship contention. Up top, it was the Birmingham Stallions (-145) who emerged victorious in a key battle over the St. Louis Battlehawks (+230) to create more separation from the rest of the pack and plunge into minus-odds for the first time all year. 5/8/24: The Birmingham Stallions (+105) made light work of the Memphis Showboats in a 39-21 Week 6 victory, setting themselves up well for a Week 7 showdown with the 5-1 St. Louis Battlehawks (+150). The San Antonio Brahmas (+800) suffered only their second setback in Week 6, losing to the D.C. Defenders (+1,300) by a score of 18-12. The Battlehawks will try to avoid taking their second loss vs. Birmingham this week. 5/3/24: The Birmingham Stallions (+120) crushed the Houston Roughnecks 32-9 in Week 5, and they draw another soft opponent in the Memphis Showboats ahead of their Week 7 showdown with the St. Louis Battlehawks (+150). While Birmingham controls the USFL Conference, the Battlehawks share the XFL Conference lead at 4-1 with the San Antonio Brahmas (+500), whom they've already beaten this year. 4/24/24: The Birmingham Stallions (+130) escaped Week 4 with a 20-18 win over the D.C. Defenders (+750), and it's easy to see the Stallions heading into Week 7 with a 6-0 record on the line vs. the St. Louis Battlehawks (+200). While Birmingham rules the roost in the USFL Conference, the 3-1 Battlehawks are the class of the XFL Conference with a 3-1 record, including a head-to-head victory over the the San Antonio Brahmas (+650). 4/17/24: The Birmingham Stallions (+140) thrashed the Memphis Showboats in Week 3 while the San Antonio Brahmas (+650) took their first loss of the year to the St. Louis Battlehawks (+250). The Brahmas fell from third to fourth-choice behind the D.C. Defenders (+550), who scraped by the winless Houston Renegades in Week 3 to boost their record to 2-1. The Stallions are on deck next for the Defenders. 4/10/24: The Birmingham Stallions (+190) handled their business in Michigan last week, beating the Panthers by a touchdown. A date with the Memphis Showboats, who gave the undefeated San Antonio Brahmas (+450) a scare in a 20-19 defeat, are up next. The Brahmas have yet to move into second place in the betting despite their hot start, as they were last-place of the eight teams before the season began. The St. Louis Battlehawks (+425) remain second-choice after responding from a season-opening loss to Michigan by handling the Arlington Renegades, 27-24. 4/3/24: The Birmingham Stallions (+275) unsurprisingly got bumped down about a half-point across the board following their statement two-possession win over the Arlington Renegades. The St. Louis Battlehawks remain second-choice despite a close-fought 18-16 loss to the Michigan Panthers. The San Antonio Brahmas were the biggest movers, going from bottom-of-the-barrel at about +1,500 to +500 at DraftKings after posting a 27-12 triumph over the D.C. Defenders on opening weekend. 3/28/24: The Birmingham Stallions have been deemed the class of the UFL by oddsmakers after capturing the USFL title in both 2022 and 2023. Nipping at their heels ahead of opening weekend are three teams from the XFL conference in the St. Louis Battlehawks, D.C. Defenders, and the 2023 XFL champion Arlington Renegades.
