One team will suffer its first defeat of the season on Saturday, as the only two undefeated teams in the USFL square off in Week 3.
The Stallions had a thrilling 28-24 come-from-behind win over the Generals in Week 1 and won a 33-28 shootout with the Gamblers in Week 2.
The Breakers have picked up two quality wins in a row, first as they beat the Stars 23-17 in Week 1 and then demolished the Bandits 34-3 in a statement win a week ago.
So, who will win this battle of unbeatens? Check out our USFL picks and predictions for the Birmingham Stallions and New Orleans Breakers on Saturday, April 30 to find out.

Spread analysis
Something has to give in Saturday’s matchup between two undefeated teams.
The Breakers have seemingly established themselves as title favorites after dismantling the hype train that was the Bandits in a 34-3 shellacking.
The Stallions are no small fish, however, sitting at 2-0 and being the only team with home-field advantage and a crowd behind them.
Both teams are relatively healthy and are expected to be close to full speed. The Breakers’ injury report is an extensive one, but all players listed on the report practiced in full this week and can be considered probable. It seems as though New Orleans has opted to list nearly every important contributor on the report regardless of health.
Favorites have been the side thus far in the USFL, sitting at 6-2 ATS after two weeks of action. We’re going to buck that trend and side with the Stallions.
This line seems predicated on New Orleans’ dominant performance a week ago over the Bandits. That was undoubtedly an impressive performance, but it seems to have created a disparity in the market where the Breakers are expected to run through the rest of the league. The Bandits appeared hapless in that matchup, and we have very few data points to go off of, so that lopsided affair may have been as much of an indictment on the Bandits as it was a sign of dominance from the Breakers.
The Stallions have found their quarterback in J’Mar Smith. With solid weapons at his disposal in running back CJ Marable and receivers Osirus Mitchell and Victor Bolden Jr., this is one of the best offenses in the league. They should be able to keep this game close.
Prediction: Stallions +4 (-110 at DraftKings)
Over/Under analysis
This will be a matchup between two offense-first coaches, a rarity in this league. The Stallions are led by Skip Holtz while the Breakers are coached by Larry Fedora.
The offenses have been humming. Fedora has the Breakers rolling, averaging the most yards per game (347.5) in the league. Kyle Sloter appears to be one of the better quarterbacks in the USFL and the running game is no slouch, averaging 139.5 yards per game on the ground.
The Stallions are second in total offense per game (334.0). J’Mar Smith has leveled up this offense with his play at quarterback and they have some of the best skill weapons in the league.
The Breakers have arguably the top defense in the league, surrendering only 10.0 points per game and 220 total yards per game.
The Stallions have been a sieve defensively, allowing 346.5 total yards per game — the second-worst mark in the league. They’ve been especially susceptible to the rush, allowing 179.5 yards per game on the ground.
Both teams should be able to score. We’ll take the Over.
Prediction: Over 44.5 (-110 at FanDuel)
Best bet
Good offenses are hard to come by in the USFL.
We have a rare matchup in this league where both teams are capable of scoring the ball. Not only are these the only two unbeaten teams in the league, but they’re also the two top offenses. That’s not a coincidence.
Taking Overs in the USFL can be risky business, but this is a low total when all things are considered between the league’s two most potent offensive attacks.
Pick: Over 44.5 (-110 at FanDuel)
