Dream vs Mystics Predictions, Picks & Odds for Today's WNBA Game

The Dream took down Washington as 8-point underdogs earlier this season, and our Dream vs. Mystics predictions think they can at least keep it close this afternoon.

Three WNBA games will tip off on Sunday, and the second pairing will be between the Atlanta Dream and the Washington Mystics.

The two Eastern Conference teams have clashed once before to open up the 2025 season, and the result could be different in Round 2.

My Dream vs. Mystics predictions and WNBA picks think the favorite may have issues securing the win.

Dream vs Mystics predictions

My Dream vs Mystics best bet: Mystics +5 (-105 at bet365)

The first matchup between the Atlanta Dream and Washington Mystics this season ended unexpectedly. The underdog Mystics won straight up despite entering the contest as 8-point underdogs. They have a clear path to more success against one of the better teams in the Eastern Conference.

The Mystics might not win outright again, but their record against the spread at CareFirst Arena shows that banking on them to keep things close is the right play.

Washington has covered in four of its five home games. Three of its four home wins against the spread came against teams with Top-4 odds to win this year’s WNBA Finals.

Kiki Iriafen and Sonia Citron have been extremely impactful as rookies. Washington has the youngest team in the league, but the aforementioned duo has helped the Mystics perform at a high level against much more experienced opponents.

I expect Washington to continue punching above its weight and hold down the fort on its home turf.

Dream vs Mystics same-game parlay (SGP)

Mystics +5

Sonia Citron Over 12.5 points

Kiki Iriafen Under 8.5 rebounds

The Mystics’ influx of talented youth has been huge for their growth this season. I expect their latest two first-round picks to have their fingerprints all over this contest.

Citron came into the WNBA hot and racked up 19 points on 6-for-7 shooting in her pro debut. It’s unlikely she’ll be able to replicate that efficiency the second time around, but she's proven to be a capable and consistent scorer early on.

She's scored 13+ points in seven of the 10 games she’s appeared in this season. Four of those outings came against Top-5 scoring defenses. I expect her to keep thriving on offense regardless of her competition.

Iriafen is averaging a strong 9.4 rebounds per game, but posted a season-low four rebounds against the Dream in her season opener. Atlanta's stacked frontcourt features Brittney Griner and Brionna Jones, so it’s not surprising to see that Iriafen struggled on the boards in her first-ever WNBA game.

The Dream are the league’s best rebounding team and give up the fewest rebounds per game to opposing teams. Iriafen’s usual rebounding numbers should come back down to Earth in this matchup.
