It’s a slammed five-pack of WNBA action on Sunday, and I’ve crunched the numbers to find my favorite player prop picks to choose from.

Among the matchups are the top-seeded New York Liberty hosting the two-time defending champion Las Vegas Aces, and the surprising Washington Mystics trying to stay in the playoff hunt as they host a league heavy in the Minnesota Lynx.

I run down my free WNBA picks below.

WNBA player prop bets for September 8

Today's best WNBA player props bets

Prop bet #1: Chennedy Carter Over 20.5 points

-120 at FanDuel

Angel Reese is done for the year with a wrist injury, and someone will need to absorb some of that scoring, particularly if the Chicago Sky hope to hang on to the eighth and final playoff spot.

Chennedy Carter is a good pick to up her scoring output. She just returned from a four-game absence because of health and safety protocols, picking up 15 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists in a 92-78 win over the L.A. Sparks.

The matchup with the Dallas Wings appears to be a good one for Carter. The Wings are bleeding points, allowing a league-worst 91.1 points per game, which has pushed them to an ugly 14-game losing streak.

Prior to her most recent setback, Carter did find a scoring groove. From July 2, a span of 11 games, she topped her 20.5 scoring line set for Sunday six times and averaged 21 points per contest.

The Sky’s leading scorer should be all business against Dallas.

Prop bet #2: Julie Vanloo Under 1.5 made threes

-106 at FanDuel

Matchups matter, and I think the books overlooked Julie Vanloo’s recent history against the Minnesota Lynx when setting her 3-point make line of 1.5.

Vanloo has been shooting the ball well of late, going 3-for-4 from distance in a 90-77 upset of the Phoenix Mercury last time out. That followed a 3-for-7 effort from beyond the arc in a win over Dallas. However, Vanloo has only hit two or more 3-pointers in a game three times since the Olympic break, a stretch of nine games.

She’s also 0-for-Minnesota. In three games against the Lynx, Vanloo has gone 0-for-13 from 3-point range.

Two of those efforts were part of back-to-back losses out of the extended break, missing three shots in each. She was also shut out of scoring altogether against Minnesota on July 6, missing all nine field goal attempts, seven of which came from downtown.

Minnesota boasts the best 3-point shooting defense in the league, limiting teams to 30%. The Washington Mystics sniper might break the goose egg, but not more than that.

Prop bet #3: Breanna Stewart Under 8.5 rebounds

-148 at FanDuel

Post-Olympics, Breanna Stewart has been a scoring dynamo, averaging 22.7 points per game on a smooth 45.5% shooting from the field.

However, her rebounding has taken a dip from her 8.6 average on the season. Stewart’s rebounding line is set at 8.5, a number she has failed to top in four straight games, and just twice in the last nine.

The rebounding hasn’t slipped for the New York Liberty, though, who still lead the WNBA in that category. Jonquel Jones is doing much of the heavy lifting, averaging 10.1 per game since the break.

In her last matchup with the Las Vegas Aces on August 17, Stewart went for 18 points and seven rebounds in a 79-67 win, while Jones ripped down 17 boards.

There should be a similar outcome in the third meeting of the season between these teams.
