The WNBA postseason debut nightcap features the No. 4 seed Las Vegas Aces hosting the No. 5 seed Seattle Storm.

Las Vegas is seeking a third straight championship, and the title defense will be led by the stellar play of MVP-to-be A’ja Wilson. My Storm vs Aces predictions like Wilson to dominate as a scorer and rebounder in a favorable home matchup.

Check out my WNBA picks to see why you should bet the Over on Wilson’s combo prop in Game 1.

Storm vs Aces predictions

My best bet
A’ja Wilson Over 37.5 points + rebounds (-114 at FanDuel)

My analysis

This line is offered at 38.5 across other major sportsbooks, but we can get it down to 37.5 at FanDuel with respectable -114 odds. A'ja Wilson has been a dominant force in the WNBA for years, but she’s been even better in 2024. The two-time MVP and reigning Finals MVP finished the 2024 campaign with career-high averages of 26.9 points and 11.9 rebounds, good for 38.8 points + rebounds.

Wilson appeared in nine playoff games last season and averaged 23.8 points and 11.8 rebounds, hitting the Over on this line five times. Dating back to the 2022 playoffs, Wilson averaged 24.5 points and 12.3 rebounds in four games against Seattle and hit the Over twice. A’ja’s been phenomenal over the Las Vegas Aces’ last two championship runs, and I expect that trend to continue in 2024.

Wilson provided at least 38 points + rebounds in 22 of 38 regular-season matchups, and she hit the Over in two of four against the Seattle Storm. That includes a monster 24-point, 20-rebound effort in which she corralled a career-high rebound total.

Seattle allowed the fourth-fewest points to opponents during the regular season, but only one team allowed more rebounds than the Storm. Wilson can take advantage of a favorable matchup in the paint and cash this prop with ease.

Storm vs Aces same-game parlay (SGP)

A’ja Wilson Over 37.5 points + rebounds

Under 163.5

Gabby Williams Over 17.5 points + rebounds + assists

Both teams rank in the Top 6 in fewest points allowed, and both teams hit the Under in 23 of 40 games this season. The Storm and Aces hit the Under in three of four head-to-head matchups, and the teams have gone Under in five of their last seven meetings.

Seattle hit the Under in six of its final eight games to end the 2024 season, and Las Vegas hit the Under in seven of eight. The point total isn’t staggeringly high at 163.5, but given the recent trends from both teams, we’re taking the Under.

Gabby Williams joined Seattle late in the season, but she’s made a major impact through 12 appearances. Williams took four games to get going, but over her last eight, she’s hit the Over on this prop seven times. She’s been particularly hot across her last five, averaging 24 PRA and hitting the Over on this prop in all of them.

In her lone meeting with the Aces this season, Williams posted 14 points, five rebounds and five assists. Simply taking her PRA prop by itself would be a juiced -130 wager, but the odds are so short for a reason. Adding this prop to our parlay is a safe way to beef up the odds to +652.
