Notable Oscars odds

Odds to win Best Picture

Film DraftKings bet365
Anora -200 -188
Conclave +225 +200
The Brutalist +600 +650
A Complete Unknown +4000 +5000
Wicked +5000 +6600
Emilia Perez +6500 +6600
I'm Still Here +8000 +10000
The Substance +10000 +10000
Nickel Boys +10000 +10000
Dune: Part Two +10000 +10000

Unlike last year, when Oppenheimer was an Oscars buzzsaw from the second it was released, no single film has felt like a sure thing for very long. The Brutalist was a big favorite after the Golden Globes but has since drifted from the top of the pack. Anora was pegged as the it movie in early Autumn before being surpassed only to regain momentum as the guild awards were doled out. Emilia Perez crashed and burned after looking like a potential front-runner. And now, Conclave is peaking at the right time after earning an ensemble award at the Screen Actors Guild ceremony.

Odds to win Best Actor

Actor (Film) DraftKings bet365
Adrien Brody (The Brutalist) -230 -225
Timothee Chalamet (A Complete Unknown) +150 +162
Ralph Fiennes (Conclave) +1600 +1400
Colman Domingo (Sing Sing) +3500 +3300
Sebastian Stan (The Apprentice) +3500 +3300

Best Actor has had a few narratives to its arc. Adrien Brody delivers a powerhouse, tortured performance as a mercurial yet genius architect who escaped war-torn Germany. Timothee Chalamet has received many plaudits for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown after learning how to play the guitar — an act of commitment the Academy typically loves. While honoring Ralph Fiennes — more for his body of work than specifically his work in Conclave — was also in play, it's between Brody and Chalamet.

Odds to win Best Actress

Actress (Film) DraftKings bet365
Demi Moore (The Substance) -250 -250
Mikey Madison (Anora) +165 +175
Fernanda Torres (I'm Still Here) +1400 +1400
Karla Sofia Gascon (Emilia Perez) +3500 +3300
Cynthia Erivo (Wicked) +3500 +3300

It's been a rollercoaster awards season for Best Actress. Initially, it seemed like it may be a three-person race between Demi Moore, Mikey Madison, and Karla Sofia Gascon. However, the Emilia Perez star was embroiled in controversy after a series of unpleasant and insensitive tweets resurfaced from a couple of years ago. Moore won at the Golden Globes and emerged as the betting favorite, but Madison has gained traction since. But Moore's win at the Screen Actors Guild Awards may be the strongest indicator of the eventual winner.
