F1 Monaco Grand Prix 2025 pre-qualifying favorites

Just as they are in the championship odds, Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris are the Top 2 choices for the Monaco GP. In close pursuit is last week's winner Max Verstappen, followed by the defending champion of this race in Charles Leclerc.

Leclerc is the only driver in the Top 4 of the betting yet to win a race in 2025.

F1 Monaco Grand Prix 2025 post-qualifying picks

Race prediction: Norris to win (-150 at bet365)

The season couldn’t have started better for Norris, who opened with the pole and the win in Australia. Since then, he’s been good, but has watched his teammate Piastri race past him with four wins on the season, while Max Verstappen has also claimed multiple wins on the year.

Norris is the only other winner on the circuit this year, and has four second-place finishes, including back-to-back in both Miami and Emilia-Romagna last week. He’s only finished off the podium once in seven starts, a fourth in Saudi Arabia.

Norris has one podium finish in Monaco back in 2021, and finished fourth here last year. As the driver’s standings have tightened in recent weeks, it’s his chance to add more intrigue to an already intriguing season.

Best bet: Hamilton Top 6 finish (-175 at bet365)

Starting back in seventh hurts, but Lewis Hamilton and Team Ferrari have made strides this season. Hamilton’s teammate LeClerc has had a podium finish this year, and while he has yet to hit a Top 3 finish, he has had a first and third in the two Sprints.

I think he can move through the field, as his car was only 1.4 seconds behind Piastri’s lead pace in qualifying. Hamilton is a 3-time winner in Monaco, and the last time he touched the podium here was with a win in 2021. Since then, the best he’s come is fourth in 2023.

With some added motivation because of the penalty, along with Ferrari’s tinkering along the way during the season, he could be a main cog in this race Sunday.

If you feel a potential podium, it pays a cool +600. That’s worth a sprinkle, though we’ll stick to a Top 6 for the legendary driver.

Understanding F1 betting odds

The most popular way to bet on Formula 1 odds is by simply picking the winner of a particular race. Other popular F1 betting options include which car/constructor will win and whether or not a particular race car driver will end up on the podium with a Top-3 finish.

F1 race odds usually look like this:

  • Charles Leclerc +400

This means that on a $100 bet, you'll stand to profit $400 if Leclerc wins that particular race. If one driver is especially dominant, you might see a minus sign (-) ahead of that driver's odds like this:

  • Max Verstappen -120

This means that you would need to bet $120 to win $100 on Verstappen winning the race.
