F1 Spanish Grand Prix Prediction, Picks & Odds – Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya 2025

McLaren's 2025 dominance looks to continue in the Spanish GP, as despite only Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen winning since 2017, it's McLaren sitting 1-2 in the starting grid... and the odds board.

Max Verstappen will try for his fourth straight Spanish GP triumph this Sunday as he seeks to stay within shouting distance of Team McLaren in the F1 odds.

McLaren's dominance continued in Monaco last week, with Lando Norris picking up his second win of the season to pull within two of teammate Oscar Piastri, and once again Piastri and Norris top the betting board after finishing 1-2 in qualifying.

Here are the latest 2025 Spanish Grand Prix odds, along with our free betting picks, for one of Formula One's most historic events.

F1 Spanish Grand Prix 2025 favorites

Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris are Nos. 1 and 1A in the Spanish GP odds, as they've been for most of the 2025 campaign. Piastri, with his career-best four wins on the year, is -188 after taking the pole position, while Norris resides at +175.

Max Verstappen, a four-time winner at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, is the only other driver at less than 33/1 (+1000). Even Lewis Hamilton, who won this race five straight times from 2017-21, is a fairly long shot at +6600, with George Russel also at +3300.

F1 Spanish Grand Prix 2025 post-qualifying picks

Race prediction: Oscar Piastri to win (-188 at bet365)

Oscar Piastri has been the best driver on the circuit in 2025, claiming four checkered flags — the most of any driver in 2025 — while finding the podium seven times overall. His only miss was a ninth-place finish in Australia to start the season.

Piastri’s driving with the vehicle that seems to be the current standard bearer makes for the best combination. With his points lead over Norris down to a tiny three points, I expected nothing less than Piastri’s best in Barcelona.

Capturing the pole is the first step, with win No. 5 in his sights. The difference between taking Piastri and Norris isn’t much, but Norris’ two wins have come from the pole position, and he’s yet to claim a race starting anywhere but from the top.

Best bet: Charles Leclerc podium finish (+300 at bet365)

Charles Leclerc is coming off his best finish of the season, and despite starting third on the grid, he’s got lengthy +300 odds to hold that position to the end.

He does have hungry drivers in his rearview, out to prove a point. Russell, who starts with Leclerc on Row 2, is trying to bounce back from a rough race in Monaco, where he landed in 11th place.

In fifth spot sits Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, who started fourth and finished fourth in Monaco. Verstappen is one of three men who’ve won this F1 season, and he marked Barcelona as a track where his work in high-speed corners and the car’s aerodynamic performance could be an advantage.

Still, Leclerc is in the best form he’s shown all season. Ferrari’s done a bunch of tweaking both during the week and in-race to try and get the car right on race day.

While that isn’t surprising, it might be to some that Leclerc has rolled with the adjustments better than teammate Lewis Hamilton. I like him to find the podium in back-to-back races.

Understanding F1 betting odds

The most popular way to bet on Formula 1 odds is by simply picking the winner of a particular race. Other popular F1 betting options include which car/constructor will win and whether or not a particular race car driver will end up on the podium with a Top-3 finish.

F1 race odds usually look like this:

  • Charles Leclerc +400

This means that on a $100 bet, you'll stand to profit $400 if Leclerc wins that particular race. If one driver is especially dominant, you might see a minus sign (-) ahead of that driver's odds like this:

  • Max Verstappen -120

This means that you would need to bet $120 to win $100 on Verstappen winning the race.
