This would probably be the only time in Broner's career he was behind in athleticism, including speed and power. The problem with Gamboa is he is still stuck in amateur style mode, while Broner adapts well (and although they made comparisons to him and Floyd, I agree with some points because besides athleticism, they are always composed and adapting to beat their opponent) offensive and defensively. Gamboa would have to start making exchanges and unloading when cornering Broner as going toe-to-toe is his best shot. I think Broner would pick his spots if allowed and also create a major problem for Gamboa because even though Gamboa is superior with speed and power, Broner anticipates and adjusts and his athletic ability isn't far behind Gamboa. So, Gamboa will face a guy almost as athletically gifted as him, but this guy also bring a mature pro-style at such a young age. I'd take Broner to win by decision, and not allowing himself to mix it up with Gamboa. He will switch speeds, styles, and going from offense to holding, then attacking then running the remaining minute. Everything to confuse Gamboa and not allow the still very amateur style Gamboa to get in to any rhythm.

Good points Zouk, I kinda like Gamboa, he has looked very impressive every time I have seen him (despite knockdowns). I would not bet on it and just enjoy the show.

broner is a natural boxer/counterpuncher and know one from 130-135 will be able to out box GAMBOA, the way to beat him is to go to war (say brandon rios), I think gamboa would beat broner fairly easy. 9 rounds to 3 type of thing, if broner tries to box with gamboa he will lose a decision if he tries to war with gamboa(which is clearly not his style) he will lose even bigger, GAMBOA wins without a question in my mind

Gamboa seems to have difficulty or missed opportunities and his long amateur career is part problem. He doesn't adjust well... athleticism and straight fundamental boxing he is, but adapt he is not. Broner is more a natural and can create difficulties for Gamboa. Bot a fight I would bet most likely. Broner going to war against a faster stronger fighter will end kim KOd... I think going to war but taking shots then tie-up cause frustration for Gamboa.
