1. I havent seen any odds yet, does anyone have an idea? I am assuming angulo will be a favorite, not sure how heavy

2. What Kirkland shows up? The one who looked extremely vicious and strong, or the one who got Ko'd by a pillowhanded supposed cakewalk?

3. Angulo has had his own personal issues as well, but has been very impressive when I have seen him.

Should be a great action fight, any thoughts welcomed. Personally I think a focused Kirkland, back with the lovely Ann Wolfe, takes Angulo, and should be a pretty decent dog.

neither guy can fight going backwards, this will be a good one for as long as it lasts, angulo's chin is the big advantage here, I have seen kirkland wobbled numerous times and obviously koed, unless he has some boxing skills that we have not seen yet, which I highly doubt, I see angulo getting the ko around the 5 th or 6th round. although I will be rooting for kirkland and simply do not see it happening, betting angulo by ko is probly the best play here.

thanks eric- that is a pretty high price. my site hasnt popped any yet- talkin to my brother, he loves angulo as well. should be a good action fight
you do have to wonder about kirkland's commitment, he got arrested right before his title shot if I remember correctly.

kirkland is back with original trainer ann wolf, his commitment should not be in question, he will be 100 percent focused for this one, he did his time and will now be focused on making the best of himself, the only problem is the chin. this is a bad style matchup for him. I was very suprised that this fight was made, all or nothing is the mindset here. their putting it all on the table.

So cause he's got some high profile female boxing female in his corner; now he's a world beater?  Angulo would have a world title by now if it wasn't for his immigration issues.  Best believe that.

I will be laying the juice on the UNDER assuming it's not 5.5 rounds or something crazy

   I was responding to  melvin23 post about kirklands commitment,when kirkland got koed he was a different trainer and said that he was not happy with his training camp, he admitted that wolf, is very stricked and works him much harder,   his focus will deffinitly be their,     and who said anything about a world beater, sure as hell not me as I am picking angulo?   you should read the post before responding

Whatever the under is, I'll be putting a large amount on it.  I think this is a KO1 for Angulo.  Kirkland only knows one way to fight.  He'll be coming forward and walk into something very fast, I think.  Angulo is too heavy handed and too accurate.  Maybe Kirkland lands a lucky bomb.  Either way, very short fight, IMO.

Wasn't trying to come off as a dick if that's the way it was misinterpreted

Just don't think Freddy Roach could help Kirkland in this position

Anyone who bets Kirkland either has no confidence in Angulo or believes his ring rust will play a key factor (which I'm betting it won't).

i may be wrong, but I thought he got arrested while Wolfe was his trainer---and he was in line for a title shot....came out of jail, then got the new trainer for the supposed cupcake return to ring fight, got kO'D
 then went back to wolfe.

That makes me question how much hunger the dude has for a title, whereas I think we all know how much Mexican fighters traditionally love the sport and have total focus on fights.

Should be a fun one.

 that is what happend, but after the jail time and the ko loss and reuniting with his former trainer, if that does not get someone 100 percent focuses than nothing will.   the problem will not be one of focus, the problem is his chin vs angulo's punching power,

seeing the difference between Kirkland physically shape with Ann Wolfe and without her after his jail time leads me to believe he wasnt training like he should have....I believe basically ANgulo and Kirkland r the same type of fighter....with no abilty to miss a quick punch or fight backwards. What Angulo has in a greater chin then Kirkland. Kirkland i feel carries a slight more power and definatly more speed.

For the odds i see no reason to take Angulo -310 where i felt the line would be more low -200 range. .....If Yoshida who btw was "6'1" (i feel that bother kirkland) didnt ko Kirkland, i believe Kirkland would have been the favorite.....

The play here is definaltey Kirkland....

I know James personally. I can assure you all that he is more than 100% focused for this fight. I'm not going to sit here and try to sway any of you in either direction, I know where my money is and that's all I care about. But you Kirkland backers should know that Ann has him mentally prepared for this fight. If he loses it's simply because Angulo is the better fighter. This is his toughest test to date and will be a very interesting fight.

"Brown Sugar" has as good a shot of winning this fight as the guy's corner she's in.......Angulo is knocking this muscle-head out.

And Kirkland will be back in the slammer by early 2012.

had the day off work, did a lot of tape watching today.
Kirkland didnt look nearly in the kind of shape vs. the japanese guy as he had in the past. The japanese guy totally handled him...interesting poin RE if Kirk hadnt lost he'd be favorite...not sure, but would sure be tighter.
Was the Kirk loss similar to Prescott beating Khan (just one bad fight) OR was Kirk exposed as not much of a fighter. that is the main question

Angulo got totally out classed by Kermit Cintron in their fight and i AM NOT  a big Cintron fan.

Not sure going to have to think this one over, but I dont see it as that easy of a play.
Also lookin at their records....not many impressive victories over top end competition for either fighter.

also in their joint interview on some espn link, angulo has what seems to be a distinct height advantage on kirkland. Clearly the Japanese fighters height and reach was a problem for a fighter like Kirkland who tries to press the action inside. Could be a similar problem for Kirk vs. Angulo
