Hopkins is a good bet. I can't stand the guy but he's a good bet regardless.

The fight won't be pretty for Hopkins backers. His tactics are great for Welterweights and Junior Middles campaigning 10 pounds or more above their best weight. It's not so great against big middleweights or the best super middle around today.

Brits can't win in Vegas? I seem to remember one Brit who had a pretty good record stateside. Tall guy, wore dreadlocks, undisputed heavyweight champ? Anyone?

This same thing came up at another forum about the Hopkins v Calzaghe fight and America was getting bashed left and right about preferential scoring and reffin'.  I actually think it's the opposite.  But I'm American... So maybe there's some bias there.

is it Lenix Luis ??   lol    this will be another USA vs Brittan fight, gotta take the Old Man, just think he'll have more power in his punches and play his games, give em a couple head buts, counter left hooks.   got a little 2inch reach advantage.  hopkins looked great since moving up in weight, if only he could punch more than he does in opening rounds.    I wanta see JC vs Roy Jones Jr., that be good fight.   stupid de la hoya will fight Tito for his final in Dec cause he just wanta win goin out.

I don't think Oscar is anywhere near a lock to beat Trinidad in a rematch.

Yeah that's a shitty line it would be bet down in no time. Especially with Oscar's horrible stamina these days,

You do realise Jeff lacy went to Wales as the baddest man around and got his ass handed him? Cost me  a bundle. Roy looked good V tito. He would get his clock cleaned by JC. Bhop will make it a fight because of style but Calzghe will win this easy. I disregarded Calzaghe for a long time and i am a brit. Dude is straight sick! Think i may head out there for this one. Last Vegas fight i went to was BHop Taylor. Course worry about that after kimbo takes out tank

A couple things I've learned about B-Hop 1) Never bet against him 2) He's a businessman before prizefighter; he never takes a fight he knows is a loser.

hopkins and winky both looked washed up when they fought each other. I think Calzaghe is going to beat the shit out of bernard.

This fight is going to be interesting.  Both are very even on many levels.  But Joe has a stark advantage in one key catagory; age.  Make no mistake about this one truism of boxing; EVERY fighter hits the wall eventually.  Been waiting for Bernard to hit the wall for a very long time now, and as much as I think he can pull this one out, he's in over his head this time, fighting a younger version of himself. 
 
Although Bernard will have his moments, Joe's gonna do more over twelve rounds to win a unanimous decision.
