BIG FIGHT DELAYED ????

"He says the Mayweather-Pacquaio fight is still not done, a few open issues that he hopes to put it to bed over the weekend. He's working with Top Rank's Todd duBoef. Once it done, he says then they will select the site."

A few I's have to be dotted and a few T's have to be crossed. I think we'll hear something by mid week.

The fight appears to have hit a snag.  After initially agreeing to the 'Olympic style drug testing', Pacquiao has now said that he doesn't want to have his blood drawn:

the public now is seeing the real floyd, the one who is a fraud and a coward,  It looks like he's come to his senses after thinking this situation thru, and now  knows that he WILL NOT WIN THIS FIGHT, so, he will find a way, any way out of this fight sooner or later....his legacy is more important to him then the money...

okay so sr. accuses manny of hgh but hgh does not show in blood... manny passes every tests everytime... and this strict test has been used in almost all fights... now mayweather wants to change history and rules to what? all i can see is yes he is clearly dodging this fight by means of demanding stupidly.

Are you kidding me this is not the olympics so no need for blood test within 48  hours of the fight!!  This is  professional boxing at its best!!  And the other thing if you draw  blood within 48 hours that only makes you week and may lose alot of energy by doing that cause it has a dramtically affect on your  bloood metabolism.

Forget that he avoided Antonio Margarito, Shane Mosley, Miguel Cotto and Paul Williams right?! Mayweather never runs out of excuses, mind games, propaganda and trash talk to cover up the truth.

And the truth is? FLOYD NEVER WANTED TO FIGHT MANNY IN MARCH. Just sign the contract already Floyd!

All these media posturing, press releases and trash talk is just cheapening, not only himself, but the sport of boxing as well. First it was the venue, then it was the weight, and now what? Steroids? Again? Has the sport really sunk so low to allow the biggest fight of the decade to be controlled by Floyd Mayweather Sr.? Luckily it isn't and Bob Arum is right to suggest to simply dump these clowns.

Arum responded to Team Mayweather's press release saying, "The press release is absurd. Mayweather proves that he's a coward and he's looking for a way out of the fight. The Nevada commission has been doing drug testing for the last 40 years. To appease Mayweather, we agreed they could do urine analysis anytime they wanted. But Manny doesn't want them to draw his blood when he's in training because it weakens him," Arum said in an article published by USAToday. 

I respect Floyd's skill as a boxer, but as a warrior and a fighter, the man is a ducker. He does his fighting in the media and with his mouth and just as Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach said in an interview with Brad Cooney and 8countnews, "He's just looking for a way out of the fight. He is scared, and he's just afraid that he's going to get his ass kicked. We don't work for Floyd Mayweather. We fight for the state commission, since when does the fighter make up the rules?"

Let him run Manny. Mayweather isn't worth it. You don't need him. Your legacy is set, and his, unfortunately for him, stands as one of the most talented fighters ever who chose not to fight the best fighters of his era. 

Personally, I am sick of Mayweather's cheap tactics just like how he had that bogus rib injury to push his fight back, then coming in over the weight limit for his fight against Marquez giving him added advantage over a man who is already smaller and handicapped as it is. 

This whole Olympics steroid testing is a joke. Actually, Pacquiao already agreed to Mayweather's unnecessary demands and was willing to get his blood drawn a month before the fight and after the fight. If he indeed has any banned substance in him, they can be traced and detected by a test after the fight. Actually, The Nevada State Athletic Commission has a very efficient drug testing as it is. All Mayweather is doing is simply finding ways to further get an edge and discredit Pacquiao's reputation. All it really tells me is that Mayweather is afraid to fight Pacquiao and will do everything he can to destroy him and avoid being destroyed by him in the ring. 

It's really cheap, sad and pathetic. Fight fans aren't stupid. This press release from GBP didn't come unexpected on my end however. Like I reported back then, Mayweather was simply bluffing. I got from people around Mayweather that he was training and preparing to fight in England possibly against Matthew Hatton then a day after they release a statement on ESPN saying he agreed to fight Pacquiao? You got to understand, press releases from Team Mayweather should not be taken as news. They are statements from Mayweather's camp. 

Screw the mind games, just sign the contract Floyd. Everyone in boxing abides by the same rules and regulations, and by saying the same tests NSAC does for every boxer and fighter that comes in to fight in Nevada isn't good enough for you, then I guess you should have just stayed retired. What is Mayweather really trying to say? That boxing is a dirty sport? I'm afraid his ego and perhaps the paranoia he has inherited from his dad has gotten the best of him.

Expect talks of Mayweather fighting in Europe to resurface. So if I were you, I'll just leave Floyd alone if he wants to fight smaller and over-matched opponents. Pacquiao is simply too big, too good and too dangerous for Floyd right now.
