Chavez/Duddy Streams inside

After seeing round 1, I feel pretty good.  Duddy got hit with every left hook that Chavez threw.

Chavez needs to be busier.  Duddy is throwing twice as many punches and always coming forward.  When Chavez throws, he isn't missing Duddy with anything.

Third round was really good for Chavez.  Landed a ton of hard shot.  Needs to work the body with that hook.

 

Tonight, Duddy is reminding me of Katsidis, if Katsidis had no power and no ridiculous tattoo.

I know Duddy is Duddy, but JCC looks really good, especially his defense.  Duddy is throwing a ton of punches, and JCC is catching almost all of them with his gloves.  His defense is really tight tonight.  He battered Duddy around in the 4th.

Duddy visibly hurt for the first time in the 5th, but he also landed good towards the end of the round.  Chavez is battering his head, but whenever he lands a body shot, you can see Duddy deflate a little bit.

Halfway through, and this has become a good fight.  Duddy hurt Chavez in the 6th.  Duddy doesn't hit too hard, but he's strong.  It's going to be tough for Chavez to stop him.  No blood from JD yet, but he's showing some damage.

I'm telling you, if JCC would go to the body, he stops him.  Every time he's in big trouble, it's started with a body shot.

Duddy is one tough dude.  He's getting rocked with regularity now, but everytime I think it's going to end, he fires off five or six punches.

Man Duddy took so many shots, I thought the fight would have been waved off in the 10th and 11th.

The Kilonet  one was in english but the announcers were horrible not so much the duddy fight but the other fights they called were so off.

I think we can see the one knock on Chavez NO POWER, I would like to see the punch stats on Duddy's  head.

R U kidding me? Power - yes. Finishing skills - not so much. The kid has pop but he's too economical with his punches. Everybody and their mom knows Duddy has a granite chin. Too bad that chin won't hold up for much longer - not after the beatings he's taken in his career.

What did we learn about Chavez Jr. from this fight? He has decent speed, punching power & offensive boxing instincts. His DEFENSE is pure crap!! The kid never moved his head during the whole bout. I can almost guarantee that if he goes up against a world class boxer with better then average pop , he gets KTFO. Defensively he looks absolutely clueless & I don't believe even Roach will be able to totally repair this major flaw in his game.
