Chris Arreola to shock the world on Saturday vs. "Klitschko"???

I was shocked to see Mr. Arreola was +500 at my sportsbook. I laid $1,000 to win $5,000 on "Arreola". I know most of the so called experts are picking "Klitschko" but man i think "Arreola has a serious fighting chance in this one! Arreola is 27-0 with 24 knockouts! I believe if "Arreola" catches him with a one of his many power punches in the right spot that "Klitschko" is going to go down! Plus love the fact that "Arreola' is fighting in his own backyard and will have about 95% of the fans rooting for him! Thoughts and opinions welcomed!

(Keep in mind I've never been a boxing fan, and never bet boxing) I checked the youtube assembled HBO clip, and boy can that guy swing. But even I can tell that as heavy as he swings, he it seems that he never uses any form. His defense is poor, and his tactics seem to simply involve trying to swing through the other guy. It's worked well for him so far (obviously!) but Klitcho (from what I've read) is a very tactical fighter, and has a height and reach advantage over Klitchko. He's going to pick his spots and wait for what Arreola will give to him (which seems likely to be a lot, often).  I don't think he'll be drawn into a wildly swinging brawl like you see in those clips.

That said, given you can find prices in the +515 range, that sure has to be tempting. He can certainly take a punch, which will help. Best of luck and when push comes to shove I'll probably drop a $20 down for fun so I can root along with you. Cheers and thanks for the tip.

Very easy.  Arreola is very easy to hit.  Travis Walker had Arreola in bad shape.  Klitshcko is going to knock his big head into the tenth row.   

I though Hasim Rahman would beat Lennox Lewis that night...I had no $ in my offshore account and was going to send them a couple of $100 to bet on him but was sick and didnt make the trek to the bank for my cashiers check that Friday and BOOM!!!

Arreola is going to get starched.  Colossal mismatch here. 

Arreola  has no movement, he is so hittable the odds aren't HIGH enough! How can anyone give Arreola a shot at really winning this. The man has NO boxing skills, aggression and throwing bombs doesn't make you a heavy weight.

True power punches, land power shots  naturally NOT by throwing heavy shots intentionally. Lennox had his right hand, but he set it up with his JAB. Tyson Had his jab and head movement to set up his punches.

When Lennox lost it's because he was busy being a movie star, and took Rahman lightly. I should know I collected on the fight.

Mike Tyson lost to Buster Douglas way before he entered the ring, Mike Tyson was dropped in sparring sessions leading up to the fight. His  career was over when we fought Buster.  Buster also had motivation for the fight, his mother died and he dedicated the fight to her.

I wish you luck on your bet, it is the heavy weight division, but I would be shocked if Arreola won, actually would be shocked if he hits Klitcho with anything meaningful.

His aggressive nature only means he will be seeing the canvas very quickly. A true BOXER with a heavy punch can give Klitcho problems,  not these fake heavy weights.

I say this and I hate the Klitcho's I cannot wait for them to lose.

I say Eddie Chambers the new slim Eddie Chambers has the BEST chance, at winning and even that is iffy.

We may never see the Klitchos lose again because they hand pick their fighters, in a division that has very little competition.

I don't agree that Arreola has more power than Klitschko, but he is much fatter.

for what it's worth...  Vitaly's brother Wladimir went 10 rounds vs. Jameel mcCline while Chris Arreola KO'd Jameel McCline in the 4th round. also did you see the weigh in on Thursday? Chris Arreola came in a lot slimmer and in shape than previous fights and weighed in at 251. Also Vitaly is 38 years old, the guy has to slow down sooner or later! I know the majority of the people  are going with Vitaly but give me the hungrier-younger Arreola at +500. I'm laying $1,000 to win $5,000!

Watch his fight against Travis Walker before you donate a grand to your bookie. Arreola must have been pretty hungry during training camp for that one.

Please realize Chris Arreola weight ONLY 239 pounds against Chaz Whiterspoon.

He comes in 7 pounds "less" than this previous high of 259, but realistically he looked so out of shape during weigh in.

Look at Arreola's hand speed versus Chaz than when he fought walker, regardless of the opponent you have in front of you look at his hand speed, he combined power with hand speed.

Against Walker, he was MUCH slower.

He reminds me of Sam Peter,  a guy who started out well plenty of KO's and didn't take his weight seriously and every fight he came in fatter and fatter.

Take a page from Eddie Chambers, a guy who came in FAT and out of shape with good hand speed, and now LOST a TON of weight, and looks to be the best of the crop of heavyweights.

Look NO further than a guy's weight in the heavy weight division, it's why I say keep an eye on Eddie Chambers.

Arreola at 251 is inexcusable, you know he will be at least 261 at fight time.

Arreola has a ton of amateur experience, if he KEPT that weight at 239 or lower he would have had a different career.

I can see people tossing maybe a $100 on Arreola as Klitcho is 38 and has been in the ring only once in 4 years.

But 1,000 is a bit extreme especially when the ODDS are so high to begin with and you are taking what you consider a GIFT of a price.

I'm not here to judge, hey I want the Klitcho's to LOSE, I will be happy for Chris Arreola if he wins, but he isn't fighting a Travis Walker tomorrow.

I'm looking to see if Chris Arreola CAN use his amateur experience and MAYBE BOX instead of brawling, if he brawls he gets KO'd quickly.

I think Chris Arreola should work on his weight and maybe should have taken 1-2 more fights than fight Klitcho now.

Then again Arreola is in the heavyweight division which is VERY forgiving, he has NOTHING to lose tomorrow he has a free shot at a belt!

If he loses they will say he was in too soon, and he is still able to get fights because besides the Klitcho brothers and maybe Eddie Chambers who else is out there?

Remember Chris Arreola wasn't always FAT, he was 239 against Chaz Whiterspoon. Please remember this WEIGHT.

Hope Arreola wins so you guys make some money, but the big russian doesnt go down easy, and has about 10X the boxing skills.

Should be a fun watch though, would love to see him get lucky and connect on one of those big blows and plow forward from there, but hes def gonna have to get lucky

Vitali has fought twice in the last year vs. 2 fighters that I think would both beat Arreola.

Its worth a shot but IMO the value is at whether or not you think the fight will go over or under 7.5 rounds. Can Arreola do better than Sam Peters?
