clottey vs cotto in fight

i had Clottey, but I felt he got screwed. Sad that sports with judging or reffing is never fair. Let the little African man win

I'm going to rehash points made by alot of people.
 
I was on Clottey
 
I gained alot of respect for Cotto, fighting on with that cut
 
I lost respect for Clottey, the way he acted after the slip (HE WAS NOT HURT)
 
Clottey won the fight, in its entirety, but he lost too many rounds.  Like other people said, he coasted.  WAS HE ACTIVE AT ALL IN THE LAST 3 ROUNDS?
 
I had Clottey, but he didn't win on the scorecards, and didn't deserve to
 
Last note, I think Cotto won the rounds, but 116-111 is an UTTER JOKE

The cut had a pretty big impact for me, but it's pretty clear that Clottey won 7 or 8 rounds. I only saw Cotto winning 1,6, and 12 convincingly. Compubox must have been a joke, but I didn't see the final numbers.

I don't see how Mosley would take a fight with Clottey. He's hanging out for big names and big money. Clottey's best opportunity would be a rematch, but I doubt seriously that Cotto or Arum would want that.

Clottey backers got their value on this fight, but there were too many factors outside the ring working against them. I have a hard time explaining the moments Clottey decided to sit on the ropes and cover up. Every time he exploded combinations they landed with great effect. I really am still wondering about both guys working for a company looking to match Cotto with Pacquiao.

I was ready to rip into Clottey for coasting a few rounds ... then I heard than 116-111 decision and realized it probably wouldn't have made a difference anyway if he pushed the pace those few rounds.

Mosley is 38 years old, Pac-man is Not fighting him, and the only possible fight is Mosley-Mayweather.

Rematch will never happen between these two. It was Bob Arum at his best, giving Cotto the win, but showing Clottey is very very dangerous and Clottey can now make some  decent paydays.

Also in many of my posts I wrote MSG and The PR Day parade would be the biggest influence, any Clottey backer knew the close rounds were going to go to Cotto.  People said   the fight will be in the ring why are you saying this.. now we know why.

Regardless of what Clottey did, Cotto is the PPV draw just like Marquez needs to realize Pac-man is the PPV draw (the best don't always get the credit, it's how you're marketed.

Congrats to all those who got the W and well I don't complain the fight went pretty much as I thought.

Max Kellerman was HORRIBLE when he was on ESPN.He used to always talk about past fighters and never really spoke about the current fight at hand.

Now that he's on HBO and the big stage. I believe he does an excellent job. He calls the fight accurately and asks the right questions.

Great addition to the HBO crew.

Dan Rafael scored it 116-111 for Cotto.

AP had it 116-112 for Cotto somehow, I guess with an even round.

Most of the Puerto Rican press had the fight for Clottey.

I agree! I had Cotto winning by a point but could have easily accepted a close call for Clotty. But Clotty has no one to blame but himself, as he let Cotto steal the last 2 rounds.

Bad one to pick out, Taylor was winning easily before he got Ko'd.

yea its hard to say clottey won with the knock down in the 1st then his lackluster 12th round where he was boxing as if to say he was winning.
