Margarito is gonna attempt a comeback and Cotto will try to defend himself as best he can keeping him at bay with jabs and lateral movement. He will also attempt to slow him down with his vicious punishment of the lower body. Last, but not least, like we are gonna be in Puerto Rico, Cotto will basically need to die on the ring to lose the fight. So even if Margarito wins the fight on points according to all the people that are watching the fight, he will necessarily have to KO Cotto to be validated.
My play is Cotto -240 for 1K, Net profit of $416.67

Sure he has. Cintron hits harder than Cotto. Daniel Santos hits harder than Cotto as well.

You can say Cotto has stepped up and fought some tough fights as of late. However, you really have to dig deeper than just the names.
Mosley? Not exactly shot, but not in his prime. He didn't really have the pop to ever put Cotto in danger. The funny thing was he was out boxed by Cotto. That was the thing that was most impressive, IMO.
Judah - again had the speed and boxing ability to keep Cotto from blowing him out. Only problem was that we knew Judah wasn't going to stand up to him for the entire fight. This fight didn't do anything positive or negative on my opinion of Cotto. Ended as expected. Only shock was Judah hurting him early in the fight.
Malignaggi - never had a chance to stop Cotto. He did outbox Cotto down the stretch and the close outcome was a bit of a surprise.
All of these fighters have something in common - semi-slick boxers that don't have the power to test Cotto's chin that semi-exposed against Torres. Great job by the promoters to get that out of the public mind. I haven't forgot that fight, and I also could see right through the "big name" fights - there wasn't much risk when you boil it down.
Since playersonly has refunded my deposit because of some trouble with their payment processor, I now have $1500 to put on this fight. I will be going for the throat and putting whatever I can on Margarito ITD. It is monopoly money at this point, so screw it. I suggest Cotto backers really think hard about laying -240. An ITD Cotto play MAYBE.. but flat laying that chalk is a bit silly, imo.

That said, every time that I lean to Antonio, I am reminded that he has had trouble with body shots to the past and hasnt faced a a legit body puncher, let alone an elite one in quite some time. Im finding myself making a case against both sides. I'd hate not to have action on such a big fight but I'm leaning towards only playing the under or the won't go the distance.
