Cotto has almost every edge on Margarito. The only way I can see Margarito winning is to take Cotto's nuts. Cotto doesn't have the best chin and Margarito will walk through anything if he has an opponent hurt. The fight will be great because Margarito has to make it a fight to win!
I have a feeling Cotto will try to play it safe, but Margarito will force him to release his inner beast.
Margarito is tough to KO but I love the under in this fight at +155.

Sure he has. Cintron hits harder than Cotto. Daniel Santos hits harder than Cotto as well.

Against small Welterweights and Jr. WW's I am sure it does. This will be the first big WW that Cotto has faced. Anyways, shot for shot Cintron and Santos both hit harder than Cotto.

I am going to take a bit of a layperson approach to this fight. Most of what everyone has said is true. We all know what each fighter brings. I especially agree with some of the criticism re Cotto's schedule and chin.
Now, Margarito was considered one of the best pound for pound fighters just a few years back. People wanted to see him fight Mayweather or Hatton and it was widely felt that neither wanted anything to do with him. Recent loses were close and controversial.
I don't think Rito can win this on the cards. Cotto is way too popular and his style earns him close rounds. I expect Rito knows that as well. So, I am anticipating that Rito will put early pressure on Cotto knowing that is typically a slow starter and the action will be fast and furious from the opening bell.
If Rito opens things up early, this fight will go under. If he tries to outbox Cotto, the fight goes over, and he probably loses. Rito is a warrior and, if he reading this fight right, he doesn't want to make it to the cards. So, I am banking on the under and I may play Rito ITD if I can get +400.

Cotto's chin seems to have gotten better at 147. At 140 he was draining himself and losing muscle. He was not at 100% when he fought at 140. Cotto is a beast at 147
