I kept think about the Williams.Quintana fight whilst watching this fight. I can see Dawson duplicating the result of that rematch.

The scorecard I gave was what I thought would be coming from the official judging. I'll have to watch it again and score it how I would score the fight. I'm thinking it'll be a little closer.

What will sweeten the pot is Dawson has a high likelihood of being an underdog. Can't wait. Might very well be a good time to max the window. I hope Pascal steps up and out of Canada for the rematch.

wont happen buddy life aint that good. Bute will murder Brinkley and he will meet Pascal at 172 in a HUGE fight north of the border..Bute different league to Pascal. Pascal stock has risen but I aint buying..We are all about to make big money..Jean Pascal I salute you!

Horrendously fought fight by Dawson.  He was the supremely skilled fighter who refused to let his hands go and engage Pascal.  When he let his hands go, he shined. 

This is a head scratcher.  Ive never seen Dawson so sluggish and inactive.  He had Pascal on the ropes in 9 and 11 and just sat back.  He fought like he was friggin drunk.

Pascal is gonna get his balls boxed off by Bute.

So you really think Pascal will fight Bute next? Seems like a bad move imo for Pascal and Canada. I would expect him to take a soft touch, but thats just me. So this would or would not mean that Pascal's belt would be on the line at a catch-weight? Sounds like a Pacquio move by Bute if I'm not mistaken.

u could be right mcNulty. Seems the rematch clause will be activated..If this fight is in the states and Chad actually lets his punches flow I love him in that spot

A fatal flaw Dawson showed us last night is whats referred to in the Am's as "taking a picture." For those that don't know what that terms means, if you land a nice shot and pause long enough to view the result instead of throwing combinations or following up in some way, shape, or form. A quasi-decent example is the uppercut Dawson landed in the 11th round that rocked Pascal. There should have been at least a hook after that.


Regardless, Dawson arguably took many pics last night. He'd get Pascal woozy, then back off. I also am aware that is strategy for a counter puncher. You don't want to get a fighter hurt and over expose yourself as a hurt fighter can be dangerous. Like I said earlier, too much time between his workrate which is a minor adjustment I expect Chad and his team to work on.
