I said these same things about Pacquico in a "MACK 05 blogg" back in January...... and the Mayweather haters said.......its not a publicity stunt......i pointed out that Team Pac-man cherry picked his opponents......I pointed out the DaLa Hoya, Cotto, Hatton and D. Daiz  fights were a farce and no one did their research. , most people shot from the hip.....

Whether this video is factual or not .....it does show the fighters weights........  FIGHTER OF THE DECADE.......RIGHT.....more like manipulation of the public and the facts.......or public ignorance to the obvious facts.????????

People in this blog.....say Mayweather tanked the fight with Team Pac_man but I tell you that Team Pac-man really did not want the fight.  why u ask????

ONE Answer:  10 million dollar weight clause!!!

Pac_man is the WBO WW and Ring Mag. WW of the world and he wants a weight clause for PFM. If you know boxing you know Team Pac-man is not concerned about the 147lb limit......they are concerned about PFM re-hydrating his body upto Jr. MW or Middle weight levels. Because PFM will carry the weight and the speed and the stagima, and the later rounds will take there toll on Pac-man....ie PFM will punish him in the later rounds......Look at Pac-man at the end of the Clottey fight, watch rounds 9 -11 and you see the shot that Pac-man took and see that he is exhausted.... weight , number of punches he had thrown and the heavy handed puches he had absorbed>>>> 

Mosley would swing for the fences early and often. PFM would shoulder roll, keep his distance, rough house Pac-man in an attempt to tire him and wear him down......if don"t think that Pac-man wears down watch his last 2 fights from rounds 9 -12. He connects but he stops for breathers........ i need to know when PFM rests.....he defends and then waits to run out of steam( could be key to the Mosley fight).

A couple of things come to mind as I watch these videos:

1) to all the Pac-man worshipers...... Manny is a great fighter and a great talent but his exploits are not that great considering what we all know!!!!!

  a) Boxers like Ricky Hatton, Paul Williams and Art. Gatta would lose significant amounts of weight to fight at a smaller weight classes for their "power" advantages

  b) Ricky would ballon upto 180lbs (aka Ricky Fatton as he called himself) is a cruiser weight.  Paul Williams everyday weight is 175 lb range.......Lt. Heavy.  Art. Gatta would ballon upto 165 lbs ....super MW.......none of these guys possess the power or ability to take punishment at those weights

  c) Manny is a WW and has been one of at least 5 years.....the only questions are could he retain his power, was there catch weight opportunities........ realistically Manny could fight at 154 lbs w/ limits (win a title..... Cory Spinks& Alfredo Angula) and could probably steal a belt @ 160lbs under the right circumstances.

2) No replies from all the PAc-man lovers.......no replies or responses.......PRICELESS

3) After everything we have seen, researched and watched it still comes down to the fighters in the ring.......ultimately I still believe that they and the judges make the finally decision.

 

PS> I remember Larry Merchant saying that has no reason to not believe Freddy Roach in regards to steroid use and Manny P.

 

I wonder if his belief in Freddy Roach extends to his other fighters or just Manny P........just curious!!!!

I wonder why there are guys like Rich Marotta who does international work on all the PPV's and has had a weekly boxing show in LA for a decade and Bert Sugar, who like him or hate him has seen more boxing than most who have Manny Pac as one of the top fighters in history but have PBF OUTSIDE the top 100?

I guess you two experts know more than they do? If I'm not mistaken Floyd has fought many of the same opponents, including a grossly blown up JMM in his last bout. PBF has had a great career as well, but he is the one criticized by the xperts for not taking the tough fights and in the context of history he is no Manny.

This conversations is not about what R. Marotta said or thinks.....if you want to start a blog about his opinions we can debate him for hours......R. Marotta.....aka your authority on boxing .......WOW

Burt Sugar has alot of fight knowledge but Burt Sugar will tell you, he does not respect boxers of this era for the very same reasons that the 2 videos states......words of Freddy Roach...... fighters ducking the best competition.....as the videos clearly point out. 

Also are saying that Bert Sugar does not think that PFM is in the Top 100 bc if you are then maybe we should blog " Bert Sugar and PFM" and reads some of his thoughts about PFM.......defensive skills second to none ......counterpunch skills second to none...... comparision to Boxing greats like Tony Pep... Pernell Whitacker...... Bert Sugar has raved about PFM talent since he was 8 yrs old and has discussed PFM god given talents for decades......... I will simply assume that your are Pac-man fan or a Mayweather hater......i am a boxing fan......i don't allow emotion to rule my bloggs....... 

Bert Sugar is pissed at PFM bc of his antics (negative effect on boxing) and he blames PFM for the collapse of the mega fight!!!!!!.

Because Bert Sugar did not make any of those statements about Manny P. and he  surely did have anything to do with the official weight inspections. We see who is the bigger fighter.

If you don't think PFM has fought tough fights ....fine...but that is not the issue in this blog......its about the misconception about Team Pac-man and his true motives.

Here you are talking about another subject the video has nothing to do with what you are saying, is the video saying Pacman is not an ATG? NO, its just stating facts of people believes which are wrong, do i think floyd could take on bigger risk fights? YES but that has nothing to do with the subject...

In my personal opinion both fighters are ATG, one of them has been in the ring with all kind of opposition styles, fast fighters, bigger ones, heavy handed, pressure fighters, pressure with no defense, slick fighters, counter punchers, etc, while the other one has been being carried carefully, he has fought mostly come forward pressure fighters with poor defense but good offense, the times where he was matched up against another different fighter style he just couldnt take it, since agapito sanchez when he struggled because of agapitos style(draw) most people had agapito ahead at the point of the stoppage to the scorecards, then when he was matched again against someone whom style didnt get him an advantage even when he wasnt prime he lost again(Eric Morales 1), then he takes the rematch after Eric was coming from a defeat against a C-Level fighter in Raheem and he was totally on the decline he struggle again, in most peoples card pac was losing the fight before the knockout which was great(I think the knockout had more to do with erics legs didnt hold becuase he was done) but a nice win, I dont even mention Pac-Morales 3 becuase Morales was totally shot, then when he gets matched against a counter puncher whom style doesnt get him an advantage again he struggles big time loosing most of the rounds of the fight but a great 1st round save him the "L" on his record and in the rematch when most people thought well now he is a better fighter he has this and that he strugles big time again and most ecperts thought he lost that one after that he has been carried carefully selecting oponnents whose style are good for him, plain and simple...On the other hand Mayweather in his only 40 fights has seen everything, he has seen pressure come forward fighters with no defense, pressure come forwards with ok defense, slick ones, faster than him(judah), counter puncher, leftys, bigger ones, heavy handed, etc and he hasnt struggled against anyone BUT CASTILLO(I think he lost this one btw I had Castillo 1 point ahead in the 1st fight) !! and he rematched him 8 months later when he was still prime and he clearly learned from his mistakes and won the fight...But could mayweather had fought greater opposition? Yes, there is no doubt about that but not get carry away with a fighter who is being carefully managed and whose promoters want you to believe something its just not true, people carry away because of his explosiveness which is great and I really enjoy watching it but he is not what Top Rank has made you believed, thats it...

The majority of covers boxing forums posters would agree with GmoNavarro and yourself. I have had a back and forth debate with Rich and especially McNulty (two guys opinions I greatly respect) and they would be in agreement with you also.

Previously McNulty posted this exact video. Here was my response. I realise, I am in the minority so feel free to disagree...

"McNulty this is a good video but it does not expose Pacquaio as a cheat. Where the video is wrong is that, it claims the biggest the biggest vcitories of Manny Pacquaio's career were against Hatton, Dela Hoya and Cotto. This is simply not true. His biggest victories were against Barrera and Morales and to a slightly lesser extent Marquez (lot of debate there so will leave that be). Two fighters Barerra and Morales who are in the top 50 greatest fighters of all time (Cotto, DeLa Hoya and Hatton arent within an asses roar of the top 50). Morales was probably past his best the 2nd and 3rd time but not the first and Manny fought him. I would rate Morales at his peak, which he was when he first fought Pacman a better fighter then Pacman at his best. There first fight is as good an indicator as you will get. Barrera was a bad foe for Morales. he fought too much with his heart and not his head in those fights. They were well matched but for me Morales was better.

I did not need to see this video to know Hatton, Dela Hoya and Cotto were past there best. But you can't seriously tell me Mayweathers resume is better then Pacquaio's! Mayweather has never fought anyone in the same league as Barrera and Morales. Juan Manuel Marquez was 14 pounds too heavy and 4 years past his prime when he fought money yet there is no mention of that in the video.

Pacquaio was right to fight a washed up Cotto before Mosley. He wasn't sure if he could take the power of a full Welter. Now he knows he can (hence the fight with Clottley is at 147 and not 145). You don't just send Pacquaio like a lamb to the slaughter against a dangerous opponent like Mosley without testing the water first. That would be just stupid. Roach is a clever man.

Bottom Line I hope Mosley beats Money for a number of reasons but the main one being Mosley and Pacquaio will happen at 147 if they both win. They won't make stupid demands of each other.

I agree that Pacman and his team were very careful of picking there last 4 fights but I didn't see them come up with a new set of rules outside the Nevada State Commision just because there is a chance their opponent might be cheating (even though there is no proof whatsoever that this is the case).

In my opinion its not up tp Pacquaio to agree to random drug testing. Its up to the Boxing Organizations and State commisions to implement these procedures to clean up the sport.

Floyd Mayweather doesn't have the right to dictate the terms of how a fight is fought and if I am Manny Pacquaio and Roach I would not bow to his demands either. You giving an inch and Mayweather will then look to take a mile. This to me is a lot more then a 25 million drug test as Mayweather has put it.

Floyd and his family have done a great job in tarnishing Manny's reputation to the fact that 1/2 of boxing fans who took part believe Manny took drugs (a poll taken on Eastside boxing). That's shocking when you consider Roach's reputution as one of the best boxing trainers in the world today and Manny's intergrity as a person. In the Clottley buildup Manny says what is a steriod, I don't even know what it looks like. I believe him but many don't.

Until Boxing Organizations and State commisions implement these random drug testing procedures (which I agree with) that are currently being used in the Mayweather v Mosley fight then in my opinion the problem lies with Mayweather. Many disagree

i agree with alot of what you said, but i have to disagree with a couple of your conclusions.

Cheating - (I have never blogged about Pac-man and steroids) but I will remind you ....... Team Pac-man agreed to Random Testing with a 30 day window.....yup we are in agreement inspite of the fact the NSC does not require it......Freddy Roach can be quoted as saying that. Mayweather counters with a 14 day window and then Team Pac-man says: NO.....let NSC do their job and lets abide by their rules.  I not saying that Pac-man is using bc I have no proof but I question the 180 turn around...... "You can't start down the path and then when the road narrows say I don't want to play...... it draws suspicion!  In my book... Only suspicion nothing more.

Cheating (Integrity) - James Toney v. John Ruiz.......the drug testing and subsequent response by Freddy Roach on why his fighter chose to cheat. Fighter has a bum shoulder so we decide to cheat + potential loss of money = INTEGRITY. We can debate the use of Xylocaine but I remember PFM in an Previous 24/7 series being injected with it and the commentator discussing it (Legal...yes.....Should it be used in boxing....NO). My point is I never heard Toney or Roach  talk about using steroids before the fight.

Standards - The problem does not lie with Mayweather! I know you agree with the upgraded testing standard..... but boxing is a unique sport.....the average drug free boxer can do serious damage to another boxer on any given day.....now add steroids to that equation! It is up to the boxers, the families of the boxer, the promoters and the fans to make the change happen.....it is not one man's problem....it's everyones problem. Look at the NBA, MLB and NFL....records broken by cheats, players dying (past and present) bc of steriods, lives and families ruined by drug use... one need only look back last week at a boxing news last week (with the toxicology report and his family's statement about his past history). I am not saying that Pac-man is using steroids and I not saying that Mayweather trying to clean up boxing but i will say that the truth about these boxers and their intent is woven in alot of lies.

Resume - mayweather is a cherry picker and he does/has ducked good fighters...but other than the 3 Mexican fighters, I don't see buffet of talent @ 125, 130, 135, 140 and 147 for Pac-man. Most of the name fighters were past their prime or shot fighters with only name recognition left.

My question to you is the weight comparasions...... PFM seems to be the smaller fighter in fights (except JMM and including Hatton who is naturally heavier but fights at a lower weight) But Pac-man for the most part has been heavier than his opponent but bc he started at 106lbs there is this perception that he is the little guy.
