Fred I don't think its that simple. Bute is not as slick as Ward or Dirrell. He is a different kind of fighter. He will never been in the ring with someone as physically strong as Froch.
Do I think Bute is better? I really do. BUT he has to win CLEARLY in a fighters home town. So many intangibles in this fight..

He has fast hard punches, but he seems to use more athleticism than technique. Also, he fights very straight forward, and any good fighter with anticipation skills that is a natural counter puncher would pick him apart. Froch showed me more than I thought he had. There are just so many question marks, let alone a home country decision... anything could happen. The one thing you can expect is that these fighters bring it every fight win or lose! Great fight to watch. Also, these styles could cause come clashes and possibly headbutts, accidental low blows, etc, etc... to many unknowns.

Bute will win the fight clearly, but will he win the decision in the UK? No play for me here except for it to go distance. Will lay the heavy juice, no way I am betting a fighter on the road, way too smart for that.

bute is a box, but unless froch can land frequently it will not matter, and that is the question in the fight for me, can froch consistantly land his shots? if he can he will win, but if bute gets that long accurate jab going, it will be very tough for froch, who in reality is coming to the end of a very good career, this is the biggest fight of bute's life and the only REAL test that he has had and he knows it. so he will be ready. I will sit back and enjoy this one and keep my money out of it.

I like your number(1) ....I've been waiting for this guy to leave Canada and fight someone that is considered world class. Talk about being spoon fed. The way this guy fights with his hands down and not doing to much is not going to get him a decision across the pond. I also know that although froch has lost to Ward he has never took a brutal pounding that I ever seen. I also give the motivational edge to Froch fighting at home. I think Dirrells style let hm down. His negativity was his downfall. Bute will hold the centre of the ring and in my eyes IF it goes to decision it won't be that close..116-112 for Bute, I am thinking and thats a home decision..
