How potent was that blow that he took from Daniel Geale in the third? Now Daniel does not have fists of steel but it must have been a relief in the GGG camp to see him take that and immediately snap back that counter with such power. The questions involving him and inferior competition seemed to have been quieted.
Now he is going on about wanting to fight Cotto. Would this or this Canelo fight be better for us fight fans?

While not the hardest of punches, it seemed to make more than just a fleeting connection. It was encouraging to see that his counter retained enough to floor him after absorbing what he took.

I think the punch GGG ate right before he floored DG was a decent punch.. I wouldn't necessarily call it flush, nor was it on the chin.. but DG can definitely crack so there's something definitely to be said about that exchange, especially since GGG was able to maintain focus and land a flooring counter shot. That was probably the most impressive thing of that exchange..
While I have not seen the fight, Jerseyboy, who remains omnipresent in this boxing forum, alludes to the fact that GGG ate some pretty good shots against Stevens and well, we know how that fight ended..

If its any conciliation GGG took quite a few good shots from Gabriel Rosado. Granted Golovkin wasn't as sharp as he should have been that fight considering he was sick bedridden two nights before and was considering cancelling the fight.....
Anyways I digress and i'm not one for triangle theories but the same Gabriel Rosado just knocked Brian Vera out in that new BKB event.
The same Brian Vera who went a total of 22 very competitive rounds with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. I think flat out beat Jr. in the first fight but got robbed.
