Haye v Wlad its ON!

Finally the fight has been signed. I have already taken the -200 on Wlad and if the price goes lower I will plough in again.

Can Haye win here. He actually can. The one thing I will say about the guy is that he has a monsterous punch (with both hands) and has by far the quickest hand speed in the division. Also, the guy is one of the best trash talkers in the business. If he gets inside Wlad's head he may get Wlad to fight and go away from his gameplan (we have all seen this before with other big fights). If Haye connects with a bomb early doors, Wlad will go down. Haye hits far harder then Saunders or Brewster. That is a BIG if though.

I see this fight playing out right into Wlad's hands. The pressure on both fighters will be immense. After all the waiting all the hype I think both men will be effected by it all. I expect the first 1-6 rounds to be very similiar to Haye v Harrison. Very little action with Wlad winning all the rounds off the back of his jab. Haye is perfect for Wlad in that he has serious conditioning problems (always has). He can't fight for 3 minutes of every round. Therefore he won't be applying enough pressure to make Wlad uncomfortable at any stage of the fight.

I think entering the second half of the fight, Haye will need a knockout and he will start to get wreckless. Once this happens, I think then Wlad can get the KO as Haye has no chin. If Wlad can keep out of the trash talking, fight safety first and avoid getting tagged (which he should be able to do) I think this sould be an easy nights work for Wlad. Haye is not a bad fighter. Indeed he is a great Cruiserweight, but fighting in Germany against a huge man with great boxing fundamentals I think Haye is well out of his depth here and has bitten off more then he could chew.

If Haye wasn't British or undisputed Cruiserweight champ or not as charismatic you would not be getting -200 on Wlad. On paper this looks to me a mismatch with Haye's only chance landing a bomb. Wlad will know this and Haye will be punching either fresh air or Wlad's gloves all night long..

Love this play and feel the books have priced this fight up wrong..

It's going to happen Danno. There is no other real option for either fighter and the money they will make will set them up for life. Haye is a clever guy. Wins a title, makes some easy defenses where he is under no real threat. Makes a few million, all the while letting the Wlad hype build..He got himself a 50/50 split.

He pulled out before because Setanta sports his backers went bust, plus he wasn't getting anywhere near 50/50..The fight will happen for sure now..

I think many will be surprised when (finally a fighter with speed) exposes the big mans limited all around boxing skills. Haye won't be laying back,waiting to get jabbed to death. If & when Haye backs Wlad up..He'll knock him out. As for this being an easy fight for Wlad...... Please think again..

Ghost this looks a classic setup. If Wlad has sense he SHOULD let Big brother do the work. He matches up way better against Adamek who would pose no problem for him whatsoever.

Wlad, I believe as I said above will probably beat Haye but Vitali matches up against Haye so much better. With Wlad's jaw there is always a chance he gets caught.Vitali has a cast iron jaw. Not only that Haye's thrash talking will be wasted on Vitali. He will systematically take Haye apart. A mismatch of epic proportions.

I hope Vitali gets it..I will murder the -250 to -300 that will come out..

Mismatch?? We will soon see. I'm not sure I understand you're point about a good jab stopping hand speed. A good jab controls distance & sets up many opportunities for your offence. But stopping hand speed??. I'm sorry...I don't get it. The Klitschko brothers shine against stationary, slow footed opponents who stand right in front of them & allow themselves to be backed up & jabbed to death. After all.. they are built like cyborg giants. Haye will not allow Wlad to dictate the space & flow of the fight. He'll move & use his speed to throw off the big man timing IMOP. As soon as he gets Wlad backing up.. it will be a a whole new ball-game. Speed enhances power & as far as that is concerned... that area is no contest. Haye's- so called stamina problem  is  a.much overblown issue. One last thing, I hope your not serious about calling either Klitschko brother the "best in the history of the heavyweight division" I wouldn't even rate them in the top 20. Like Goliath .... on fight night Klitchko goes tumbling down.

My opinion hasn't changed on this guys. Even if Haye lands a bomb and wins this fight the -175 on Wlad is a spectacular price. He is the home fighter, fought the WAY higher calibre of opponent, Much bigger and stronger and I feel he will handle Haye's speed..If Wlad even half connects with a right hand, Haye is going to sleep. You want to give me -175 on that! I would price this -300/-350. Haye getting WAY to much respect, mainly because of his mouth..

Haye wanted this fight to make big money and as a business man he has played a stormer. But I feel he is in deep water here and deep down he knows it. Haye doesn't have the stamina to make Wlad uncomfortable. He will be throwing the odd bombs, but wlad is a great technician and the chances of Haye landing flush are remote in my opinion
