When I saw one judge was from Spinks-Taylor I thought I had a chance. NJ- Williams won at least one of rounds 3 and 4. Lederman doesn't like guys who hold, and I'm sure he punished Quintana for that in the last 3 rounds.
That's a nice score dude, they're probably paying you with my money.

So many times, boxing comes down to desire. How many times do you just see dogs accept their fate and go quietly into the night? I was proud Quintana showed up tonight, gave it all he had and the judges rewarded him. Good night to be a boxing fan.

1st of all, congrats to the Quintana backers. I wish I'd put some coin on that, but the over was my play. 2nd, don't count out PDub just yet, he'll be back, but for you handicappers, hope you learned what you need to know about PDub and his defense. I'm trying to figure out what was it that gave Quintana the huge advantage in this fight. I'm not convinced it was just heart. I'm almost convinced Williams might struggle with southpaws, or perhaps it was the lateral movement. Any thoughts?

Angles, angles, angles. That's what Quintana gave Williams and was the main reason for his success. There was some stuff going around before the Cauthen fight on Shobox that Williams was struggling with southpaws in the gym, but he didn't show it that night and his only southpaw showing since was against an ancient Mitchell. After seeing this you could draw the conclusion that it may be that Williams does struggle with southpaws because it was like he never saw Quintana's left. I think it had more to do with the angles and movement of Quintana though.
Not to take anything away from Quintana, but the late naming of an opponent coupled with the fact that Williams like bettors may have overlooked Carlos could have played a major factor in this result.
