How long before Hatton vs. Mayweather?

I would pay to watch that fight. Mayweather said he would fight anybody only seems like a matter of time before it happens. Has anybody heard anything on this?I didn't get to watch the last Hatton fight so I am not sure if the announcers were discussing this scenario or not.

Hatton too slow for Mayweather. I think Hatton-Cotto would be a better matchup, I like Hatton in that one.

I agree, I think Mayweather is fast but it still would be a good fight. Hattons chin would keep him in there for awhile. With Hatton having two of the belts only seems like a matter of time before May's ego takes over and he wants all 3. The May vs Judah fight would be cool, probably happen early next year then? After that then its Hatton:)

Here it is boyz, I fuckin called it 1.5 yrs ago. My money is on hatton, the kid is tough and floyd is a box. Floyd in the DLH fight was pathetic.

All due respect, anyone who knows jack shit about scoring a boxing match knows that Floyd won that fight, and it wasn't even really that close.  And to call him a "box"  Is just lol.  At first thought, I would probably put my money on Hatton, but it certainly isn't because I think PBF is a box. 
 
Oh.. and "calling it 1.5 years ago" is laughable.  People have been awaiting this fight long before then.

This fight WILL NOT HAPPEN.  Floyd's camp has made that clear.  BTW, Hatton would out-pressure and outscore Floyd.  He would be about a 150 dog and would, at worst, take a draw.

Agree with Always. dont think it happens. Although would be fun. Hatton would piss floyd off something terrible, with the charging and holding

I agree with Always also. It won't happen. I hope it does so that I can make some coin on Hatton. That boy is relentless and would outpoint Floyd.

You guys are overrating Ricky Hatton.  If he makes a fight with Mayweather, I would play Floyd heavily at the -170 number that AW is projecting.

Hatton has two big victories.  Both were against aging/shot fighters that offered up little in the way of resistance.  Trust me, Saturday night’s storyline was much more about Castillo’s decline than Hatton’s emergence.

Hatton does have the sort of style that could tie up FM and make for an ugly fight.  I think Floyd is crafty enough on the inside to minimized RH’s effectiveness even on RH’s terms.  You don’t get points for clinches and whiffs and elbows.  Even in the ugliest of circumstances, I don’t see RH scoring more points than FM.  Floyd has faster hands, superior defense, better conditioning, and a higher ring IQ.  I can’t understand why bettors are always inventing reasons to play against him.

Mayweather beat castillo twice, castillo was also beaten by diego corrales. Castillo is a shot fighter and he never was a top 10 pound 4 pound fighter!!
 
I think hatton should take on Gatti or Margarito would be more his competion mayweather would slam hatton to the ground!!

When Oscar let his hands go, Mayweather did nothing but cover up.  Hatton would get inside of PBF and frustrate him badly.  Also, Mayweather's one win over Castillo was very close and controversial.  I agree that Castillo is not the same fighter that he once was, but neither is Floyd.  He is fighting at too big of a weight and his power has not carried.

Didn't PBF mess his hand up in that first fight with Castillo?

Mayweather had a lot of hand problems in the past, and I am not too sure he is completely over them.

I would also like to add that Hatton's KO of Castillo was a one-punch, body shot KO.  Regardless of how shot people think Castillo may be, that is impressive.

Ricky hatton arm reach is only 65 inches arturo gatti arm reach is 70 inches long. Imagine if Ricky hatton fought mayweather, if ricky hatton can go inside hatton it would be a great fight thats if? but if ricky hatton cannot get inside Mayweather it would be a deadly fight for Hatton mayweather would KO hatton within 5 rounds!! It would be a more of a beating more than when Mayweather gave gatti when they fought!! GL to Hatton if it goes through!!  It would be a big huge payday for hatton.

Arturo Gatti took a beating because of style, not his reach.  You analysis is like saying Tyson should have lost all of his fights due to his reach, but got lucky with a bunch of one-punch knockouts.
 
Hatton will not allow Mayweather to pot-shot him the way Oscar did.  He will move in and out and have much more success.  Much the way young Tyson did.

According to Boxrec, Mayweather/Hatton is set for Nov. 10th. (it's listed on both fighters pages as their upcoming fight.)   Not sure how reliable this is though.  Boxrec seems to post these things a bit early from time to time.

Ricky's father and manager Ray Hatton told the BBC that a verbal contract had been struck between lawyers for both parties with financial terms agreed upon. "We have agreed a deal in principle but the date and venue is up in the air," stated the senior Hatton. "I can't honestly tell you a deal has been done until I see the signatures on all the documents, but what I can say is that both sides were happy with what we finalized verbally." It is likely would take place at welterweight.
 
Maybe, hopefully, with any luck this shit will finally happen.  So we can put this "mayweather/hatton" argument to rest.   I can't be positive, but I think it'll be a much closer fight than what most suggest.
