Absolutely right, he is fighting the same style except he is in a division that has some real punchers and when he finally gets in there with a top fighter they are going to hurt him bad. Maybe he proves us wrong in the future..... I doubt it..... All name....

couldnt agree more but like he said they may change it up...but as far as i can see that wont matter.Rubio can go another 12 right now with this guy if you let em. Rubio will be kicking himself for not being more aggresive.

who knows hes gonna have to time/range that upper against a Sergio more often than not...Thats the main switch up instead of coming in head first...he's a little more mobile than SR so we'll see.....

Mayweather has been dominating world champions since he turned pro.  At age 21 he dominated Hernandez and has been continuing to dominate.  Tell me another boxer who has done this for over 15 &#x2B; YEARS WITHOUT LOSING.  TELL ME.  You are witnessing one of the greatest feats and most dominating boxer EVER and you&#x27;re too blind to see it!  O well, hating is in your blood!

I know Chavez Jr. is still young. And yes, he is super talented. But come on.  He and Floyd have fought close to the same amount of fights, actually I believe Chavez Jr. a few more.  Why don&#x27;t you take a quick peek at the combined records of their opponents.  Why dont you take a quick count of top 10 opponents for those two.  Why dont you take a look at title fights.  Hey, were talking about relatively the same amount of fights !!! The results you would find upon comparing the these two (in the categories mentioned above) will stagger you, even if you&#x27;re in denial.........Sorry bro, but thats a very, very weak argument !!

&#xD;&#xA;I&#x27;m sure that quote was regarding Jr. and I just read in the USA today where Bob Arum has clearly stated "Jr. is not ready for Sergio Martinez, maybe two or three fights away."  That is truly laughable, as Sergio Martinez is the only true challenge for this kid at this weight class, and Sergio is 37.  I guess Bob Arum wants Jr. to fight Sergio when Sergio is 40.  Hell, let the kid wear a helmet for the fight too !!&#xD;&#xA;Not really bashing the kid, but he needs to get the hell away from Bob Arum.  And I cant help but to refer to that Chavez Jr. to Floyd comparison in this post.  Yeah, they&#x27;re both undefeated, 40 something wins, but I cant help but notice that Floyd won his first title when he was 21 years old, and I have NEVER heard any promoter, trainer, analyst, or ANYONE say "Floyd is not ready".  NEVER have we heard that.  And Chavez Jr. is 26 years old.......            not ready????&#xD;&#xA;I&#x27;m just sayin........

Oh yeah, I did take the liberty of checking number of World Title Fights for those two, and here's what I came up with.

Mayweather = 19

Chavez Jr. = 5

Hell, I didn't check, but i think Floyd's already been in more World Title fights than Sr. has.

prime kp at 160 would walk through chavez jr and break him like he did miranda. in fact, this years kp may do it. hes off the bottle, in a good place surrounded by good people and appears very focused.

a focused and sober kp will hopefully bring some incredible value.

this has got to be the weakest 154-160 class in many, many years.

prime miranda, kp, taylor, b-hop, trinidad, winky, norris all beat canelo, chavez jr and martinez. mostly by ko. not to mention hagler, srl, hitman, eubank, benn, mugabi, toney, nunn, mccallum. jackson and mcclellan. these guys would absolutely murder the current class. second tier curry would dominate.

martinez may be the most overrated mw champion in recent times that i can think of. fucking prime joppy would probably beat him

Mosley was in against the best to survive 12 rounds without risking getting KOd or hurt... Oscar fought to win... I mentioned Cotto (before Margarito I) that Floyd could have gone down in weight and fought, but he opted not. Back then it would have been easier than now.
Cotto is more technical, stronger, and has somewhat of a decent defense. His speed has remained the same. Most fighters would have been finished after the 3 wars he fought all in a short span.

07-26-08 Antonio Margarito L-TKO 11 (he was getting punched with cement, that hurts)
He beat Jennings TKO 5 (it was more a feel out and get back to winning)
06-13-09 Joshua Clottey W-SD 12 (he got a bad gash, but Clottey had hurt his knee; brutal fight and very close)
11-14-09 Manny Pacquiao L-TKO 12 (he got destroyed and that fight should have been stopped many rounds prior)

A years times... 35 rounds of total hell, and the man remained positive, focused and even learned defensive techniques after. Takes serious physical and mental ability to accomplish much and become champ again!
