It use to be a common thing to play the opposite plays of a mush (especially when they bet BIG). A mush is just a very bad and/or extremely unlucky bettor. It's apparent Jerseyboy89 doesn't even follow boxing aside from the forum, yet even bet real money. He's a guy that likes using extremes and making up fake stories in the hopes to prove the public and forum wrong and gain fame. It is amazing one person can pick so inconsistently, even by picking every underdog. His stories about Holt the drunk, Margarito not needing hand-wraps and making Mexican fans proud (to be a lying cheater and putting athletes in great peril illegally), and Dawson being a GIANT but somehow uses his chameleon ability to appear as a light-heavyweight.

I think Dawson is to young and athletic (and fundamentally good) and will be to busy for B-Hop. Similar to B-hop vs Taylor except that Dawson is a much better fighter and has good stamina, Hopkins is a pound-for-pound great and already a legend, but this fight I say Dawson wins around 8 or 9 rounds to win a decision.

Great post. Thanks once again for your valuable insight. You really must have alot of time on your hands. Get a job or a hobbie. Do you have any skills? You seem like you don't know what to do with yourself. Your still talking about a dishonest statement two or three weeks ago. Why? People say shit all the time. Sorry you lack the interest to actually engage a forum discussion. We should keep it simple, as if it weren't for Icons, you might have around 100 posts in 6 years. Also... your constant attacks directed at me when I had never directly called you out shows a strange "Stalker" mentality. In these cases usually when you attempt to embarrass or belittle, it has a few reasons. The mirror complex in which you see something in my posting you don't like about yourself, or you lack competence and confidence in an area you feel the need to reply. You talk about my free time I have, yet more than half your posts engage me in a negative tone. Yes my posts are long and not to some members likings. Yet you try to show poise with brief half-witted replies, implying your self-esteem.

Do yourself a real favor. (It's similar why kids in grade school bully others) Go beyond Icons, think what drives you to reply often with sarcasm, and learn something about yourself that is apparent to members that see a pattern of "stalking" behavior with constant negative replies. Don't try to act your way through-out this with another icon and remark, as it serves nothing. You have an opportunity to make a real difference within yourself if you can get past your own self-sabotage "I'm the man" complex.

Ive notice that jerseyboy loses a lot of his picks and he likes mayweather a lot. I got mayweather 1400/200 and im as confident as i want to b bc jersey like him sooo much. If i lose this bet jersey would have to b the biggest jinx of all time right?

What r ur thoughts on the fight? 

Cotto simply doesn't have the speed or the technique to win, or from what he has shown. Cotto did show great defensive improvement, but against a washed up, no plaster gloves Margarito. Anticipating Margarito's punches are much different then Floyd. I like the fight because Cotto comes to fight and will make Floyd fight back and not just lay low. IMO, Floyd has one major concern... his hands. That's why he wanted smaller gloves. He wants his jab and power show at 60% be able to slow down or hurt Cotto. Bigger gloves means he uses more energy and more likely to get hurt. Many people think this is contrary and that Floyd would use bigger gloves. No. He wants to be able to just throw naturally without over-committing on punches and stay in flow. Hard to see Cotto even with pressure being able to hit him. Cotto's jab is the only thing that could cause constant pressure, but that's it. Floyd by dec, or maybe late stoppage due to cut or swelling. Not a lot to analyze when one fighter has every edge, except heart. Floyd can fight, but Cotto has been in death fights and no quit. Against the wrong fighter (Margarito w/ plaster) can be damaging.

I can do a more analytical breakdown with optimal bets if you'd care for any. Usually Mack or a few others usually handle most of that and do a solid job.

ty- Mayweather using 8oz gloves can cause cuts and swelling with solid continuous contact, which will be likely. If he does he will just go about his business and if KO comes it does. Mayweather has yet felt the need to look impressive, why now? Don't believe media BS. Mayweather is elite, but simple... win by any means.

Cotto has been known to show cuts and swelling with solid shots. Old timers using hard leather gloves would twist punches causing abrasive action on the face. No longer does that work. Also, they used a raking motion as the laces were not taped. Old school tactics. I learned them wearing the old gear about 20 years ago.. it was interesting.

The gloves are 10oz so people are not confused. Cotto changed from Reyes to Everlast. Mayweather will use Grant. Through the posts I didn't want people reading confused that they are using 8oz gloves.
With this information (as the other articles were if they used... but we didn't state that so I wanted to be clear) the fight will go normal for Mayweather. I like the fact that Cotto will apply pressure constantly whether successfully or not forcing Mayweather to fight hard (and smart as always).
No tricks to this fight. People think that Cotto is past prime, but this match-up is tougher for Mayweather than before he lost to Margarito. The psychological factor edge for Cotto is gone, but he has become a better fighter. It takes ability and technique to beat Floyd, now Cotto has some defensive technique. Unfortunately, the increase in weight I feel will slow his hand speed down (not that it was needed) to the point that he is just out gunned. I like Cotto and he always comes to fight hard.
Expect to see the first 5 rounds at a mild to active pace with Mayweather conserving his punching and doing plenty counter-punching from Cotto's jab and follow, and then he will counter and roll out. Although the action might be fast, Mayweather will be relaxed and have plenty in the tank for late. Cotto is questionable because at a higher weight can he keep a relentless pace against the very best while absorbing continuous shots? We will see. I think Mayweather will decide after 5 rounds how he plays the rest.
That is the reason it his sometimes difficult to bet how Mayweather will win (KO or Dec), because he doesn't have an entire game plan. He fights and adjusts the best way to win and dominate the fight whether it be decision or KO. People betting expecting Mayweather to finally feel pressure to perform a big time KO are feeding into media hype. Like I quoted Sun Tzu: Know your enemy's motive - Mayweather's is win (that's it). Yes he dominates and looks good because he is much better than the rest. Think about how he hand picks fighters, how he fights them. Unless Cotto forces him to fight, expect Mayweather to fight with caution and his advantages. Also, he knows that late rounds are all his cause Cotto has always had a mild stamina problem in fast paced fights (this fight he will be doing the fast pace while Mayweather relaxes and counters).
